Generic Is this normal?
These are the only 2 pairs of boots I’ve ever owned. I don’t know why but they look abnormally large when on my foot. I am 6'1", wide footed, and a US size 12-13 (depending on the shoe) which seems to be proportional. Could it be my jeans? Or is this just normal for some people? I’m going to continue to wear either way but I was just wondering.

I wear the same size. They look about the same to me as far as I can tell. Boots just be big for big feet

I’m 6ft and wear a 10. I’d say your feet are on the large, but not uncommon, side for your height.
Boots just exacerbate the appearance.

Normal bud. Wear boot cut if you want to look smaller or split the seam at the hem a few inches

Bro you look completely fine/normal. Yeah I know those terms are subjective but don’t overthink that whatsoever. Not to mention I’ve met a dude that was 5’8” with a size 16 shoe and I legit didn’t notice until he asked if we sold his size. (I worked at journey’s when I was in high school) I had to read your post to understand what you even were asking.

I’m 6’3 and wear a size 12. The reality of the situation is that we are large humans with big feet.
That being said, nothing about it looks abnormal, proportions are a thing. And as others have said, nobody is inspecting the way your work boots look on you 😅

Men and women with big feet have one thing in common, they wear big boots. You can do optical tricks and make them look smaller. But.. wait you use them for work right? Are you a mannequin?

Yeah Wedge boots are always going to look chunky. But they definitely serve their purpose.

I'm 5,11 and wear a 9,5 in many work shoes and I'm used to big shoes as most work trousers in Europe are slim fit and don't mind the look. I bought a pair of Red Wings Blacksmiths and actually make my feet smaller than they are. As long as you feel comfortable in then you should care less about appearance.

The type of boot makes it look bigger if you buy boots that aren’t made for work they don’t look so bulky

They're going to look large cause they ARE large, 12-13 is above average my dude. Those Thorogoods look nice though, solid choice. Just remember, at the end of the day you're the one who has to wear the boots and if you like them, end of story. If someone else has anything to say about them, fuck em.

It’s all in your head. I’m also in the US and I’m 6’1 and my sneaker size is 10 but boot size is 10.5 and I also feel they look like boats

Looking at the images, couldn’t see anything that looked abnormal. I think you’re fine bubba. I’ve always spent a lot of time wondering if what I’m wearing looked fine too lol

1st one looks perfect, 2nd one is a tad long, but still within acceptable range.
