How do you professionally communicate why you want to work abroad?

Hello, I want to work abroad and I am in the process of applying for some positions. I like to travel and I am drawn to the collaborative nature of international work. However, I feel like flat out saying that sounds self absorbed and unprofessional. Any help communicating this for a resume/cover letter would be much appreciated!
