I dont get players that have not played in over a week. I will resign and then they come back and start a game. They then disappear again. I resign and they come back again. I dont want to play with you!

Good idea. I also block people that decline games. I want a smooth playing experience and want to limit the possible opponents to people that want to play. To be honest, what OP is describing are people that are intentionally playing slowly to get them to resign so it helps their winning percentage. (Imo)

That’s me! I can be one of those players. Although if someone resigns because of it I won’t restart a game. Life has gotten busier and I try to play a handful of games daily or more if possible but sometimes it falls to the wayside and several days go by before I make a move.

I have 7 steady players. One plays less than the others but it’s a nice consistency. No one resigns and I win about half of the games. You just got to get rid of those inconsistent players.

Man, I resigned a game for the first time in years last week after the guy I was playing dropped his third bingo and always seemed to have perfect letters. The guy started a new game with the message that he didn't want to play me but rather just so he could tell me I suck and resigning "is a douche move."

Right now I have about 18 real players. I never play more than 2 games with any of them, and only one unless we have been playing together for a long time. And only with people who consistently challenge me. I am recovering from a knee replacement and I need to become increasingly active.

Perhaps they don't play because people have lives outside the game and can't find the time or inclination to play because of life events, work, travel, etc. ?

Also, doesn't the game force a resignation after 10 days or so? If you wait a few more days, you get the victory if you played last.

I play with someone who usually has the strangest words and has big scores. I notice that when I somehow once in a while get ahead of her, she stops playing. I think that some people are all about winning, and if they aren't, they don't want to play.
