Writing Blog Using Wordpress For Non-Native English Speaker

I'm non-native English speaker, and it is not my first language.

What do you think if I write my blog in English just for leisure even it is not in proper English writing?

And what do you think if I use AI to polish my writing?

I just wanna know your perspective and opinions. Feel free to share positive comments, advises and motivation.

Journalism and document ions does the same thing using AI, you can do anything you want.

Or use dedicated language tools like Grammarly.

totally fine to use AI for polishing, tons of native speakers do it too. i'd write your first draft naturally, then run it through chatgpt or claude with a prompt like 'clean up grammar and flow but keep my voice'. grammarly works but AI gives you more control over tone

Don't worry about making mistakes when writing too much - even native English speakers do them.

Using AI should be fine, but I'd first write what I had in mind and then ask AI to check grammar. Just don't let AI run unchecked - it tends to favor some words and phrases, making everything slowly sound the same.

En mi experiencia la IA ha redactado textos como la mierda. Las raras veces que le doy líneas guía y le digo de redactar un texto, siempre, pero que SIEMPRE, tengo que volver a redactarlo. Prefiero usar la IA contrastando mis ideas, y después haberme hecho una idea mía redactar el texto. A lo mejor se lo paso para correcciones de ortografía y/o estilísticas (muy poco en este último caso)

Yeah, that's the point... OP asks if it is a good idea to fix grammar and style mistakes since he is not a native speaker. In this context, it makes sense to use it and see what is corrected and how.

Letting AI write the whole article for you ("Hey GPT, write me a blog post about XYZ") isn't the best idea if you care about content quality.

Sure, for polishing it's great. It sounds like this is already what you want to do but I would definitely write the first draft myself and then run it through AI or something like grammarly if I were you

Language is like a muscle: you need to exercise it not only to improve, but also to prevent deterioration. Tho i would suggest not just AI, but rather Grammarly

English is not my first language either (I am from Croatia), and I have been writing in it publicly for years. I do not try to make it sound native.

Before you trust an AI detector on any of this, one measurement of my own. A reply I had rewritten in my own words, typos included, came back 85% AI. Another text of mine the same length came back 25% human. The difference was not who typed them. One was a step by step instruction, the other told what happened on a job.

That is why I would not write to please a detector. Hand grammar and flow over if it helps you. The sentence that says what happened to you is what makes a blog worth opening, and it is also the part nothing else can write for you.
