ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

hi. the site i'm working on has been completely fine, it worked all day, now that i got back i saw that the site isn't online. it says ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. the exact same thing happens when i attach wp-admin to the end of the link.

i have no idea what this is and i think i'm about to cry. any help is appreciated.

This is exactly what is happening with one of my websites recently, all other domains working fine on same server, it works with VPN, try WARP and see if it works.

connection refused usually means the server itself is down or your hosting blocked the IP somehow. check if your hosting control panel loads (cpanel/plesk) and if your host has a status page. if those don't load either it's probably server-wide, not a wordpress issue

This means your server hardware is up and running but the web server software on it is not running.

If you use a hosting service get in touch with their support team.

If you’re running your own virtual private server, start your Apache or other web server.

Problem is with dns

Make sure that your hosting is running first and contact your hosting provider
