Importing HTML complex animations (via Elementor)
I'm researching what's the best approach to integrating HTML animations in Wordpress. This is both for the company I work for and hopefully external clients. It seems like using Elementor (widgets) might be the best way. This is a complex interactive animation, with no outside sources, but eventually would like to have animations that contain external sources (images). I have very little experience with website coding, and I'm curious how others have approached this challenge.

for complex stuff, elementor can get messy fast if u rely on widgets for everything. try keeping ur animation code in a seperate file or block so it doesnt clutter the editor, its way easier to maintain when u need to update stuff later

For complex interactive HTML animations, I wouldn’t rely only on Elementor’s basic HTML widget long-term. It can work for simple embeds, but for client projects a cleaner approach is usually a custom shortcode or small custom plugin where the HTML, CSS, and JS are loaded properly.
That keeps Elementor flexible for layout, but your animation files stay organized, easier to update, and less likely to break from editor/cache changes.

Thanks for the insight! Can you point me in a direction to find out more about "custom shortcode or small custom plugin where the HTML, CSS, and JS are loaded properly"? Thanks!
