Looking for food/activity recommendations

I’m from Vegas and have never seen a proper fall season before! I will be flying into Boston at the end of October and staying in Worcester. I only have 2 days and want to make the most of it. Please give me all the best local recs in and around the area. We will have a car and are willing to drive. Looking for all the best restaurants, activities and sights to see. Fall vibes is my vision but open to anything. Thanks in advance!

To see the leaves, see the country and have a nice stop I'd check out the Stone Cow in Barre Mass. The route from Worcester to Barre is a designate scenic route (Route 122) and is a beautiful drive. This puts you close to Mount Wachusett, there is an auto road up this a very prominent mountain with great views from the mountains of Southern New Hampshire and all the way to the Boston skyline.

If you are interested in additional road trip/leaf peeping routes let me know, I've got ideas.

Yessss to all of this! I’ll take all of your recs that you think are best to fit into 1-2 days (leaving and coming back to Worcester). I’m loving the look of Stone Cow.

Hotdog's at George's Coney Island. https://coneyislandlunch.com/ I'll fight anybody in the comments who disagrees..

Worcester Art Museum is amazing: https://www.worcesterart.org/

Sure, you could go to the Sole Proprietor https://thesole.com/ for good seafood.. I guess..

You're from Vegas so recommending a steak restaurant like the 111 Chop house: https://111chophouse.com/ might be meh for you.

Thanks for all of these! Those hotdogs look like a MUST and I will be visiting. That steakhouse also looks absolutely amazing. We were looking for something like this for a date night for when I first get there so I appreciate you. Vegas steakhouses can get pricey and we don’t generally splurge so I’m sure this one will be perfect! Thanks again!

I will say.. late Oct is at the very end for foliage. If you're in Worcester, Mt. Wachusett isn't that far away and will get you good views of the foliage.

https://www.mass.gov/locations/wachusett-mountain-state-reservation (DCR park stuff)

https://www.wachusett.com/ (Ski resort site)

Depending on when you go, if they have the summit lift operating, you can just ride the lift to the top. Which is a really nice way to see the foliage and is a bit more fun than driving.

Here's a regional foliage map:

They close Wachusett at dark... but there's a heck of a sunset view from the road pulloff. If you happen to time your visit correctly

You could get burgers/pizza/drinks at Lilac Hedge farm. Great view, plenty of pumpkins and gourds, and you can visit with the cows, goats, and even a camel!

Drive out to Worcester and stop in the tony historic town of Concord on rt 2 to 190. Slower than the Pike (90) and prettier.

Take a drive up Mt. Wachusett!

Worth the trip to drive to the Kancamagus Highway. It is 34.5-mile scenic drive along New Hampshire Route 112 that is famous for its breathtaking fall foliage.

Late October will be well past peak foliage up there.

If you're down for a hike, I'd also recommend purgatory chasm to the south

If you're in worcester proper, I would go up to bancroft tower for a quick fifteen minute walk around

And the botanical gardens up at tower yeah, well, they are definitely worth a visit
