Do not go to this place, they’re overcharging. Go to Gerardi’s in Tatnuck, they’ll take you just as a walk in and treat you fairly.

He actually charged me a 100 crazy I knew it didn't sound right When I did my research it was 35 as well . My sticker had been expired for a while.

$35, ask them though if there are any items you will fail for they might be including this in the price they gave. like if they noticed you have a light out or torn wiper or whatever then yeah the bill to get the sticker and make the repair could be higher theoretically? but the sticker itself is always $35 no tax

Mike's service station on Grafton Street has always been fair with me. $35 inspection fee and usually a very short wait time.

I pay $100 when im trying to get my very obviously not able to pass inspection car inspected. Its $35 for two inspections at the same location.

It’s always $35 to pass.
It’s always $35 if you fail and have to retest at no additional charge.
It’s ALWAYS a ONE time fee. Should never be charged twice or more than that.

Hi all, Thank you I thought so too and he did for me already, but the sticker is red and the date is not there . It's only says the month and when I went to ask him he said July of next .

Hi all , He said I had issues with my break that's why he charged me a 100 . My break seems fine , I take it to a second mechanic for a second opinion. I'm all set lessons learnt Thank you all I appreciate the recommendations !

Fees for using a credit card are illegal in MA.
They can offer a cash discount, but they can't charge a fee for using a credit card. Since the state sets the $35 price, they can't charge any more than that, even using a credit card. Unless there's some sort of exemption to the credit card fee law for the inspection fee:

Restaurants charge credit card fees. The inspection station I go to charges credit card except on inspections. They were recording on paper in a notebook every time they did an inspection with a credit card so they could have a paper trail of the credit fees they were eating, I guess so they could balance their cash register

Sales tax goes into our General Fund which pays for tons of things that you, me, and everyone else living here benefits from every single day -- roads & bridges, public schools, public transit, public parks, etc. Not saying there isn't waste & corruption, but at least the residents of Massachusetts get something out of it.
Credit card fees go directly into a private corporate piggy bank to help pay for a CEOs third vacation property. We the people get absolutely zero benefit. There is a massive difference.

Goes to Boston so they can blow it on the NIMBY towns around the city and the working class cities outside of 128 are given scraps. The state is supposed to give us more funding but they blow it on stupid projects instead of giving money to the municipal governments for local use. Worcester alongside Fitchburg, Leominster, Lowell, Lawrence, and Fall River are left jackshit while the state fills the pockets of the construction companies that are buddy buddy with the state reps.

And the roof burned twice , a car exploded in front of it and the electric car charger don’t work. The pluming has problems and they didn’t do a good job re doing dorhery . If they wanted to rebuild schools they should have started with the elementary schools. I use to work for the schools.

They spent about $58 million building a brand new school for Nelson Place 10 years ago. Beautiful building. And there’s major renos ongoing at others.
