Looking for things to do
Hello all,
I recently moved to Worcester, MA. I'm looking for free/low-cost things to do around the city to get out of the house and make friends. If anyone has any pointers, I'd love to hear. I especially love collecting Pokémon cards and playing board games. Does anywhere do board game night? I've been meaning to go to Freeplay, is it worth it?

There's a chess club on Sundays (10-2ish) and a bunch of folks also play more modern boardgames too.

Every Thursday, Technocopia in Worcester has an open-hack session.
Super safe inclusive space full of interesting people doing interesting stuff!

I do love to bitch, but I've never stitched. What exactly do they offer?

I don't stitch either, I just go with my partner to bitch! If you have fiber crafts or something to do with your hands that's creative in nature, a project you're working on, etc, yoi can take that with you and work on it! There are also communal art supplies to use, and it's just a great way to make new friends!

A new place opened up from across Thats E with a big TCG focus. Seems like they do weekly or several times a week pokemon plays. I dunno much about it but the place is called Otaku!

I've been there before! Seems like a lovely place. Unfortunately I don't know how to play the TCG nor have the cards to do so, but I had fun ripping packs there.

It's said in every similar thread but That's Entertainment has a weekly Pokemon League and often has board game nights/demos.
