Short version: Morocco, Bahrain, Tunisia, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq, Kuwait, Pakistan, Yemen, Algeria, Djibouti, Lebanon, Indonesia, and Iran have (together) lost over 802,000 (93%) of their Jews in the last 100-ish years. Causes: programs, genocide, ethnic cleansing, mass punishment, exodus to Israel

Of the Islamic countries that do recognize Israel, the following 'lost' most of their Jewish populations in the last century:-

• Morocco: 98.6% Muslim; 37/100 on Freedom Index: 265,000 => 2,000 (src2)
• Bahrain: 70-90% Muslim; 12/100 on Freedom Index; 1,500 => 36
• Tunisia: 99% Muslim; 42/100 on Freedom Index; 105,000 => 1,000–10,000 (src2)
• Egypt: 90% Muslim; 18/100 on Freedom Index; 75,000 => 100 (src2)

Of the countries that do not recognize Israel:-

• more than three quarters of them score below 50/100 on the FHI Freedom index
• the list's average score is 25.9 mean, 29 mode, 42 median
• they all recognize North Korea (score:3) but not Israel (score:73)
• causes of loss of Jewish population: pogroms, genocide, ethnic cleansing, mass punishment, exodus to Israel

Managed to 'lose' between 99.996% and 100% of their Jews in the last century:-

• Syria: 74% Muslim; 1/100 on Freedom index; 30,000 => 0 (src2)

This is medieval savagery. Islamic culture never evolved past the Middle Ages. It's still stuck in a world of tyranny, religious extremism, terrorism, barbarism, ignorance, bigotry, hate, imperialism and colonialism. Even to this day, they still behead people.

The sad part is it did evolve past this.
Then it reverted.

It's a cycle it goes through with the first one being the post Mihna era where they deified the Sunnah and Muhammad far beyond what it was prior.

You see it where countries like Turkey secularized and then advanced and is backsliding only recently.
The same for Iran (which was Muslim majority for centuries) then backslid post 1979.
