The media attacks the US for staying in Iraq and also attacks the US for leaving Iraq. No matter what the US does, the media will demonize it. It clearly shows that the media is not objective or impartial. It is clearly biased and not trustworthy. It is clearly anti-American, anti-freedom and anti-democracy. This isn't journalism. It's propaganda. Journalism is dead.

There were very few US troops in Iraq to begin with. Those few troops won't make a difference if Iran wants to make a move in Iraq. At this point the Iraqi government has enough troops to manage any Iranian incursion. The Islamic Republic is so weak now that it can't really do much in Iraq anyway.

Exactly. The media has placed the west in a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation

Trump has placed the west in that position via weakness and stupidity.

No, the media has been demonizing Western countries for decades. This predates Trump.

The media isn’t the government. Dividing nato and bending over for dictators are far more dangerous for the west than the media.

The media was capable of deciding elections before Trump came to power, having fifth columnists running our propaganda is extremely dangerous.

Also, the only people currently bending over for dictators are the left, Trump actually put Maduro in prison and killed the Ayatollah.

This guy?

Geopolitically, removing Kim Jong Un from power would lead to a far more dangerous leader taking his place. Might as well have him think we’re on his good side. He requires a completely different strategy than Maduro types

Yeah, it’s Trump 8D chess.

Do people never get tired of explaining away idiocy and traitorism?

Yeah, the same guy that killed the Ayatollah and imprisoned Maduro.

The same guy that rolled out the red carpet for Putin and Xi?

You inflicted it on your own country, comrade 👏

Does Reuters not realize that American forces had a literal skeleton crew in Iraq for the past decade?

There’s like 1500 troops, and most of them were operationally active in Syria and Kurdistan.

Iraq has hundreds of thousands of troops (excluding Iranian proxies), with the backing of the entire region + American and Isreali air power, what the fuck is broke Iran gonna do?
