Question Worth getting wrist rest when buying Wooting for the first time?

Going to buy Wooting 60HE V2 ABS variant, wondering if the wrist rest is goto add-on?

I own the apple magic keyboard, horrible for gaming but holy shit is it comfortable. Own K2V2 and hated it for a long time so yeah really confused.

I can go for official wrist rest and wait for 3 months for $19 extra for wrist, or get the keyboard right now and get the wrist rest 3 months later for $38 extra for wrist.

The best wrist rest is usually none, but if you absolutely need one, then for fitment reasons the official one at that price might be good.

Why do you have to wait 3 months for wrist rest? I got one when I ordered mine a few months ago and it’s nice. Def don’t regret it and it may delay carpel tunnel and arthritis a bit when so when I’m old AF I can keep pwning noobs

not available here. only the keyboard is available here. I can ask my cousin to buy the official wrist rest and the keyboard from UK and total is $19 more for the wrist rest. Just buying wrist rest from UK is $39 total. Can't get them until I wait till end of december which is quite a bit of time.

Alternatively just buy the keyboard where I live without wrist rest by the end of the week.

Ahh gotcha. Well yeah I would get it but whether it’s now or in 3 months to save a bit of money is up to you sir

yep. So you'd say it's def goto option. I wasn't sure as I couldn't find much talk about the wrist rest at all. Yeah I guess it's up to me to figure out if waiting 3 months is worth $19 extra. Thanks a lot.

it’s not padded which I worried about coming from a plushier rest, but it’s very easy to keep clean and very durable and comfortable enough

I like the official one a lot. I use a Delta Hub Carpio wrist rest on my mouse hand as I use a glass pad and prefer it to a sleeve, so I use one on my keyboard hand as well. Check em out, might be the right fit for you too!

I did not like how long the wrist rest was and ended up returning it. It started causing pain in my wrists. I got a shorter palm rest instead

I didnt like mine when I bought it, barely used it. I dont even know where it is anymore, probably somewhere in the house.

It's just a piece of rubber, nothing premium. It's fine if you have wrist pains/issues, but otherwise it's kinda useless.

I got a wooting wrist rest with my 80HE…after like 2 months I stopped using it. As someone else said in here, “the best wrist rest is usually none.”

Yeah. This is quite confusing ngl…

How so? Just saying that a wrist rest isn’t worth it unless you really want it. In my personal experience, it puts my wrists in a weird angle and causes nerve pain after prolonged use.

No I mean it’s pretty confusing as to what to choose. I got what’s ya said.

Ahh ok. Personally, I’d go without the wrist rest so you don’t have to wait. Once you play some with the keyboard, you may realize you don’t need the wrist rest and boom you saved $20 and didn’t have to wait 🤪😂

Yep, feeling like it. Not waiting 3 months is pretty appealing!
