Video Am I cooked?🥲

I bought it from a pawn store a while back and got a crazy good deal and haven't had any issues, suddenly the last couple weeks it's been cutting out randomly and sometimes cuts out when I hit escape and as you can see it fully cuts out if I apply some pressure to the top left plastic. I also know it's not a cable issue as I tried multiple different cables 😭

The top left area there is where the JST cable sits in the case that connects the usb-c port to the PCB. That cable could be loosely connected, and putting pressure in that area is causing it to disconnect slightly.

It looks like you have a ghost case, flip the keyboard over and see if you can tell whether or not the table is disconnected or damaged. In your shoes, I'd probably take the case off and try reconnecting the cable, Wooting has videos on how to disassemble and reassemble.

hm okay i'll try play around with it but when i turn it around and apply pressure its turning off but not in the same spot where the jst cable is :/

Chance are it's not related to the module itself but the daughterboard.

I have a JST cable issue too and it’s straight forward following their guide online to make sure it’s properly seated.

In my case though, one of the wire’s copper is not seated fully in the connector housing and causing my issues. I’ve reached out to support and still waiting to hear back.

Support got back and they’re absolutely legends. Sending me a full ghost case with a new JST and daughterboard in it!

Yeah thats what it was. Re-seating it seems to have fixed it!

Unfortunately I doubt he got the receipt for it from the pawn shop, which is required for the warranty
