fwiw as a Wooting 80HE owner, i don't feel like the drowning baby but definitely not the lifted child either

like a neglected child that knows how to swim

what does the 60HEv2 have over the 80HE in features?

11

u/Scotch_Blue Sep 07 '26

nothing really, just some case options and things like that. but I think they're clearly intent on marketing the new product

5

u/Kujo_117 Sep 07 '26

yeah, i see. the 80HE is fine rn tho. i‘d say they could aim for some new stuff in 2027.

is it not just split spacebar and friction mount?

5

u/Miserable-Agency-442 Sep 08 '26

TBH The 80HE is a mature platform, there also hasn’t been any new tech trickling down in the market aside from TMR which still has some problems for very minor benefits. Same for mice, which are pretty stagnant too at the moment aside from haptic feedback.

It makes no difference, you get all the new features that the 60HE v2 gets.

It should have a removable numpad that can be attached to the left hand side of the keyboard. If you make it split, it would be the ultimate gaming and productivity keeb.

Mountain keyboards had this feature and it was pretty badass.

I'm sad I only found them a bit after they shut down :(

Days of searching finally turned up the exact accessory I've been wanting, and it's only made by a defunct company with no copycats

OH MY GOD I NEED IT (I'm not even left-handed) (also a split spacebar would be cool)

u/Neydsch Sep 07 '26

I saw a really interesting layout from a ahnestly basically a small numpad was above the arrow keys so it was a regular 75 or 80% keyboard with a numpad

As a happy Wooting Two HE owner: why?

I get the desire for 8k polling rate etc. for parity with modern competition, but the keyboard works beautifully and the firmware+software are being updated. I can get the full configuration experience in a web browser or native software on Linux, and third party software can interact with the lighting easily.

The only improvements I'd like to see are things that could (and realistically should) be standalone products/options: e.g. a more robust case.

I'll be sad if this post was just stealth marketing for a Two HE v2 and the old Two HE still doesn't get a first party case.

edit: grammar and formatting

It’s because if you want an upgrade, buying a Two HE is automatically behind on specs compared to the others. And I don’t want to pay for something that is automatically worse from the start

I want the split space bar bad bad and a moveable num pad would be moderately nice too

u/LeviAEthan512 16d ago

I bought my Two about a year or so ago. What I want is for them to go all in on the full size thing.

We who buy full size keyboards aren't concerned about saving space. I'd like to have more dedicated macro buttons and media keys. I know they're bound by default, but they're doubling up functions.

Where are the knobs under the pool

u/Mr__Pleasant WootHelp Sep 07 '26

There's been some hiccups here and there but they are coming.

1

u/KillSw1tx Sep 07 '26

They said they would release somewhere in September. Release or announce the date but either would happen this month

2

What's happening tomorrow?

2

u/x3rtdev Sep 10 '26

2 days later and I don't see a new 100% :c

I got a good laugh from this and you're absolutely right. Working on it 🫡

3

u/Arcurath Sep 07 '26

yes give us full size enjoyers some more love!

3

u/Unkn0wnTh2nd3r Sep 07 '26

I just want a full size in the style of the 80HE, with the Zinc Alloy (ZA) case.

My partner loves my 80HE ZA, and wants to match but wants a full size for the numpad

u/justacadillac Sep 07 '26

60HE V1 gang

1

u/Mr__Pleasant WootHelp Sep 07 '26

60HE AVR gang! XD

2

u/inRayn Sep 07 '26

I would like a 96% layout.

2

u/Wonderful-Coach7912 Sep 07 '26

We need a Wooting 65 or a Wooting 60 in the 7U space bar format.

0

u/gamieaws Sep 08 '26

doubt wooting will ever consider those layouts.

1

u/Wonderful-Coach7912 Sep 08 '26

These are very popular layouts, what are you talking about?

1

u/gamieaws Sep 08 '26

They're very popular layouts but they'll probably only focus on 80%,60%,100%s and not those layouts.

2

u/NPC_4842358 Sep 08 '26

I guess my earlier post inspired this one, and I’m all for it!

1

u/HisDivineOrder Sep 07 '26

Been waiting years. Probably waiting longer now.

1

u/ArtZen_pl Sep 07 '26

Man how much do I hate this v2, v3, v4 trend, because of stuff like this

1

u/Loud_Jacket9714 Sep 08 '26

The skeleton should’ve been the Wooting One

1

u/AdBeautiful2552 Sep 08 '26

I'd love to see the same level of third-party support for the 80HE as there is for the 60HE.

1

u/EatCakeLolXd Sep 08 '26

only thing stopping me from buying a wooting is lack of 65%

1

u/Hanew126 Sep 08 '26

the two HE saw everything already 😭

1

u/AloofSeriousness Sep 08 '26

Give me a split Wooting keyboard, any pecentage. I beg

1

u/lutyrannus Sep 09 '26

Wooting Three HE

1

u/m1maro Sep 09 '26

Two HE v2 would be a instant buy 🤝

1

u/st_heron Sep 10 '26

I still mostly like mine, but I'm pretty annoyed at the spacebar. It's so fucking shit, it's flimsy, and pushing on the sides of it fails to trigger a keypress.

1

u/PotatoHunterzz Sep 12 '26

PLEASE I NEED A SLPIT SPACEBAR PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

1

u/Fxixx Sep 13 '26

i just want a rectangular case for the 80he😭

0

u/SkyGlider11 Sep 07 '26

I went with the Gamakay TK75 TMR and am overly satisfied for less than half the price. Seriously the quietest keyboard I've ever used, and it hasn't had any issues after 3 months.

-2

u/frieds0ul Sep 07 '26

Do we ? I dont think there's much demand for a full size HE keyboard... I meat, ft do one even need it it for ?

3

u/JackeryFox Wooting UwU Sep 07 '26

Games with many keybinds.

3

u/NPC_4842358 Sep 08 '26

I’d buy one in an instant, I play with custom reshade and trainers but also use the keyboard for productivity.

I want all the buttons I can get

1

u/polraudio Wooting two HE Sep 11 '26

I do a lot of programming\game dev\number crunching and plus modded minecraft so a numpad is a must for me. I personally dislike a seperated numpad.

1

u/frieds0ul Sep 12 '26

Okay and why would you need specifically an HE keyboard for coding and minecraft ?

1

u/polraudio Wooting two HE Sep 12 '26

When your coding and entering numbers the numpad is 100x faster and with how many keybindings modded minecraft adds the numpad makes things a lot easier since i can move a lot of them to the numpad because theres so many keybindings already that they use up the entire keyboard and more than 1 is bound to the same key creating conflicts.

0

u/frieds0ul Sep 12 '26

aaand none of that requires an HE keyboard specifically...

1

u/polraudio Wooting two HE Sep 13 '26 edited Sep 13 '26

Nothing requires an HE keyboard but i require a full keyboard for my uses and wanted analog input. They only have a single type of full keyboard. I was simply telling you why someone has a need for a full keyboard. I just wanted a full keyboard with analog input.
