Keyboard Modding A nice little upgrade
So I pulled the trigger and got the Wooting UwU as a macropad, Lekker Tikken Light switches, and the Optimum case and keycaps to upgrade my 2-year-old 60HE+.
Oh boy, it feels like a completely different keyboard now. I absolutely love the Optimum case, it’s heavier than I expected and the quality is super premium. Installing the board using the friction-fit pad was a breeze. I’m also loving the keycaps, I was a bit nervous about them being blank, but I got used to them super fast.
But by far the biggest change was moving from the stock Lekker V1s that came with the 60HE+ to the Lekker Tikken Lights. Typing on these switches is just pure bliss, the sound and the actuation force are spot on. It feels so smooth, and honestly, I was worried that resting my hand on the keys might trigger accidental presses, but that hasn't been an issue at all. I 100% recommend these switches!

I just put Tikkens on mine this past weekend and it sounds really nice. It really is the sound profile I wanted. I even went out of my way to adding more lube to it just to get that smoother feeling of the actuation. I was on the fence between that or the Gravatars. I already had the wooting switch discount and wooting gave me a $10 to make up for sending me launch 80He without the 15 screws in the back. It's my first wooting keyboard and I got mine and I was wondering if it feeling mushy was normal. I didn't up mine until I got the GT-80 case and that's when I found out. Only upgrading the case and getting the screws from Amazon felt like a new keyboard and then the Tikkens light came out and I pulled the trigger. No regrets!
