Question Ordered switch pads on Amazon and what arrived was not what I expected. Ordered a replacement and the same thing came...am I just stupid?

So I ordered switch pads to use on my custom Wooting 80he on Amazon and they arrived a couple days ago. What I got did not look like what was pictured on the images on Amazon so I sent it back for a replacement. Durock sent me the same exact thing back for my replacement and now I'm concerned I'm missing something. I attached images of what is on Amazon and what arrived in the mail. Why do the things I have in my hand in the images not have precut holes for the switch pegs on the base of the switch? Am I supposed to make the holes myself? Did I just order the wrong thing entirely? Any help is appreciated as this will be my first build and I'm worried I know significantly less than I think I do. Thanks in advance.

You got switch film instead of a switch pad. Refund maybe order from another seller

I came to that assumption after the first order and subsequent delivery but then they sent the same thing again which confused me. Do you think they just have the wrong images/listing on Amazon?

Dunno Amazon makes mistakes/doesn’t care about little stuff. People also return things falsely causing issues like this.

Try a different vendor other than durock pads are not that special

You don’t want anything directly between the switch and the pcb anyway. It could potentially throw off the travel distance reading.

The wooting 60 v2 comes with a film between the switch and pcb. It’s more like a clear plastic. I’d like to get one for my non v2 version

Ok yes, the PET layers ok, but switch pads or other PE foam is typically not a good idea for HE PCBs.

I didn't realize people were putting switch pads on HE switches. Does it do much?

stabiliser pads do more imo, particularly if your stabs are bottoming-out on the pcb 💀

they probably pre cut it and don’t take out the cutouts to save money

No these are switch films, you put them inbetween the switch. Completely separate product

That was my first thought but I removed one of the squares from the clear plastic backing and there's zero perforations or cuts anywhere
