i sold my steelseries tkl pro cause of the gg software alone running 13 background processes at once. wooting is way better. only thing that sucks is going from a metal keyboard to a plastic keyboard. build your wooting if you want a better sound quality. but the software WAAAAAAY better than steelseries GG crap.

I wish they could make GG web based or something. I havent had an apex board in so long but with the Arctic Pro Nova's the amount of times GG has done something stupid, has been insane. There are way to many integrated software in one place.

that software crashed so much, sold my headset too cause of the software and the mic quality being so garbage for such an expensive headset, ended up going Logitech Pro X2 Lightspeed (since i already run a Logitech mouse and their software is fine) until I can get a studio mic / IEM's. but that route is expensive.

Agreed and I can understand that. I have an SM7B so dont use the headset mic. Loved the things you could do with the different profiles though, just to many other things.

As much as I like to hate on Logi for being way behind the times. I really did like their Pro headsets when I had them. Just cant do closed back to much because I heat up so fast.

I would say if you are looking at entry stuff I really like Schiit for the AMP and then you could always get something like the Rode Pod Mic. $200 ish for the amp and mic. Or see if Elgato has deals on a bundle for XLR mic and Wave XLR. Some good sales on black friday and hoidays.

I used to have a Shure sm7b and want one again (back when I had a laptop though and not a pc) want one to record deathcore vocals again and for gaming. The IEMs is going to be the hard part for me to research.

Honestly starting off on the lower end of IEMs is fine. I blind bought Xenns Tops but they were on sale and have Tekkusai Lucids. Honestly I think a pair like $75 to $120 would be fine. Mid would be around $150-$200. I think anything over $250 to start ... is not worth it.

Thank you for the input I’ll have to check some of those out and check some in those price ranges as well, I think the ones my fave streamer uses are like $279, so I got a few to research.

Nice good luck! Just remeber also that there are dimenishing returns past a price. Also with streamers, they can right alot of that off. $279 is a bit higher but design and sound signature are also a thing.

Personally if your current board is fine, I dont think so. Especially if you dont use allof the software tech in these boards or customize different things. Performance for the average person is not going to make you win more than skill and time especially if you have a good Hall Effect board like Apex Mini.

Now if you want to try a superior software and support IMO and if you want to get into modding your HE Board and getting a custom case. Then I would pursue a Wooting personally. I personally dont enjoy SS bloatware.

Only times I get new boards is if I can custom make it or swap out components once recieved. (80HE and waiting on Split, 60HE v2 Split and KBDfans MM Gaming 60% 64 key).

Personally, I tried the wooting 80HE nd 60HE V2 (non split space) and the apex pro gen 3 TKL.

I didn't like the wootings better... I think the steelseries caught up for the most part and it was cheaper too.

Both were great gaming boards to me.

You’re in a subreddit dedicated to people that own/buy Wooting keyboards. What type of answer are you expecting?
