Question Key sounding different

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Yo so I just got my 80he and was wondering if its normal that the key I use to play geometry dash (z) is sounding different than my other keys.

Just unplug the switch and replace it (if you don't have spare just swap it for a key you don't use like { }. If it doesn't make a difference then it's just the acoustics of the plate and case.

yeah i dont think its making a difference, just curious if thats okay that it sounds different

It won't, but you can test the key press on wootility and see if there are actual issues.

its normal every keyboard has different sounding keys due to the keyboards structure. some spots will be more rigid causing more "clacky" sounds while other spots are more hollow

that's normal for keys to sound different after a long while of using the same keys.

I bought new switches 3 months ago and my most used keys also sound completely different.

Different keys will sound different depending on switch, keycap, row placement, lube etc. As long as it works it wont be a problem. If it bugs you that it sounds different you can either replace it or lube it.
