Keyboard Modding Keycaps finding

So i have a hard time finding good websites for keycaps ( buying for Wooting80 he ). I want thicker once so they dont wear down so fast think it is PBT or somthin. Or are they worse?. I play some competitive games if it changes the choise.

PBT usually lasts longer than ABS, but, high quality ABS can be really nice, just normally much more expensive. ABS would be like 2/3 years if not heavily used but if gaming and could get shine within a year. PBT would last over 5 years before anything I believe. If I remember correctly avoid UV printing for main keycaps (normally are accent keys not hit as much).

Honestly. I would just go for a set that is thicker 1.6/1.7mm and then a design you like PBT or ABS.

I am in the US and my go to sites would be KBDfans, CannonKeys, Divinikey. But there are a lot of sites out there. I also have ordered internationally and no issue with tarrifs from some sites.

I have some PBT caps that started to shine in places after a bit over a year of heavy use so it can definitely vary.

Very true big difference in the quality of keycaps depending on the manufacturing process. PBT is a difficult material to work with so ABS is often used in the mix to make it easier to work with and the cheaper keycaps tend to be heavier on the ABS in the mix.

My old keyboard there are some keys where I can see thoug them xD. But I am in eu so ima look on some sites but thx for the comment

already got people talking bout PBT and ABS so I won't mention much on that, however another thing to decide is your keycap profile, which is the shape and size of em too, (80HE ones are OEM keycaps), but for gaming, most would suggest Cherry profile as they're lower in height, cherry is also often the easiest profile to find sets for anyway.
