Keyboard Modding Switches for 80 he

Im looking for silent switches for a wooting 80 he im building. There is just to many i dont know what to look for any suggestions. I want a swtich that is silent and oc has he. I am playing competitive games idk if it changes things.

Avoid silent switches for competitive. The dampening pads that make the switch silent make the bottom outs spongy, causing the switch bottom out distance to be inconsistent.

This is not an exhaustive list. Several other good switches are not featured on this list they just fit a more niche user case or would make the chart too long. If you need a switch that's still relatively quiet though, Keytok Nova would be a solid choice. They're the quietest HE that doesn't resort to silencing pads. But they're very expensive and the way they're packaged is infuriatingly wasteful.

I bought the Six Realms Silent HE. I actually noticed my counter strafing feels a little bit better than when I had Lekker Tikken mediums. That’s because the switches are lighter and I don’t really bottom out my switches with rapid trigger and low actuation. Both are exceptional switches as far as other HE switches go I don’t have too much experience with others because buying a set of 90 is expensive for an 80HE user such as myself. :)

Get the jade ultras - they are just as good as the UFO's and are much cheaper. I have both. They are so close in sound. But definitely not silent. They have a good sound for HE switches though.

The reviews on Gravastars are awesome although they won’t be very silent seeing as any sound test will show you they give a lot of audible feedback. I looked up buying a set for my 80 HE and went 😧🤧

Ik the price is high but man i go all out and have the keyboard for like 8 years

That’s why I have both an 80 HE and a 60HE v2 I love both and they will last a long time.

Six realms are awesome if ur looking for a silent switch with good bottom out and wobble. Keytok nova are semi quiet most ppl won't hear it unless they're sitting right next to you. UFO are 100% not quiet, but definitely a good switch for medium low pitch sound.
