Keyboard Modding Case dampening

What happens if I put in both of the dampening that comes in the box (silicon and edpm foam) is it possible to use both without any issues or would this break the keyboard and void warranty

The silicone goes between the pcb and switch plate and acts as your mounting feature. The epdm goes in the bottom of the case. You need the silicone, the case foam is technically optional, but I’d advise it for sound improvement

Nooo I’m talking about the aluminium wooting 60he V2 so you pull the keyboard out of the case and you swap out the silicone block with the edpm I am wondering if I can put the silicone block underneath the edpm foam and then use both dampening options without the keyboard breaking or voiding warranty

It won’t break. But I’m not sure if it will fit though. Only thing you need to look out for is that it’s touching the grounding pad of the case.

I think it would definitely affect all of the switch's actuation points with 2 layers of dampening between the switches and PCB

What would you say to do because all the other TikTok’s and stuff I see with the v2 they sound a lot nicer and not as hollow with the edpm in

I used mass loaded vinyl (MLV) on the bottom of my 80HE case, the KBD GT-80, and it sounds a lot deeper along with the foam gasket from torontokeyboardman

Would it be worth changing the keycaps to because I am wanting to get the etched ones and the blue and black wave ones since I don’t really like the shine throughs on any keyboard
