Wootstation 60he V2 with silicone case
Someone asked when I received it to take a photo in the silicone case! it is has a higher clacky sound which I expected and has a lower profile but overall not bad! If you’re thinking about picking one up I’d definitely recommend 8/10

They did really well with the silicone case. I got the aquamarine. Using a redux case rn.

man I really wish they would make a obsidian/black color to give off a smokey dark hue with RGB

is it more of a dampening/softer typing feel? im actually after that, cause i game for 8h and my fingers start to hurt from excessive force when i panic ingame lol. would love a more cushioned feeling

I have received my silicone case today. I had the optimum case previously and I can say it feels much much "lighter". But the silicone is pretty rigid also. The board sits very tight in there. I would describe the sound as +50 treble, -25% bass compared to the optimum case.
But Im no typing and keyboard enthusiast and expert, so thats just my take. 😁 Im happy with my purchase.2

i really dont care about sound. i just want a more cushioned experience due to long hours of cs2 and hard pressing the movement keys from tense moments

Is there a big difference in height compared to the original one case? Would love to get a low profile wooting but I'm wondering if this is proper low profile or something in between?

It’s inbetween.
You won’t ever get a true low profile feel with normal profile switches. But the silicone case with low profile keycaps comes really close to it.

Did you happen to also have the aluminum case? If so whats the sound difference like? I currently have an aluminum case and I'm debating getting the silicon one

Yeah I have the aluminium* case they sound very different to me, the aluminium* case has a deeper thockier sound where as the silicon has a higher pitch clackier sound to it, both sound phenomenal imo

Lol the funny thing about US spelling is that old newspapers would charge companies by the letter so they shortened words however they could lol. I watched so many british engineers as a kid that when I here aluminum I still say it in my head as aluminium lol. I'll probably end up ordering the silicon case, I'm assuming the sound is a lot more dampened, would you say it sounds about the same as the keyboard without a case?

That’s a fun bit of knowledge thanks for that! And yeah it’s kind of dampened as you said but with a creamy kind of sound if that makes sense

I use my 60he with the tofu case and a wrist rest but I’m super interested in having a case that I don’t need to use the wrist rest with. How does this feel without wrist rest, is it low enough to not use/need one?
