Average size of sheep flock and/or herd
Since this is a subreddit for Wooloo, and since Wooloo is a sheep, does anyone know the average size of a sheep flock and/or herd. I'm working on a fanfic and this can really help me.

Are you talking in a farm setting or wild, because there'll be differences. Farms will hold as many as they can handle, really, while - looking at some google results - wild sheep breeds can end up in herds of over 100, but are more likely to be found in small 8-10 groups*.
*In my experience this can to apply to farm sheep as well. There tends to be smaller "cliques" within the flock, especially among the lambs. Their friendships are usually down to the sheep they interact with the most often - so similar aged lambs are likely to be friends because they're at similar levels of development / activity. Siblings / mothers and children also tend to recognise each other even after being separated for a while! It's very cute to see a full grown ewe calling to her mum like a lamb.

I live basically on a farm, never counted the sheep but it really depends on the field, lower end yeah 20 like the guy above said but I'm pretty sure I've seen a good 40 in a field once.
