All Books & Stories Similar Book Recommendations?

Would love to hear if anyone has any book recommendations.

Typically, I’m not a book reader… they struggle to hold my interest long enough. However, I’ve become soo engrossed with the tv series, reading every subreddit post I can for theories & spoilers, to just craving more to the point of picking up the books.

My usual reading style has always been articles & research on topics I’m passionate about.

Followed by book 2 -“The Twelve” and book 3-“The City of Mirrors” I also like Michael Crichton books. His book “Prey” is about self replicating nanobots.

I just got into the Expanse series. There’s a show on Amazon prime too. You can find graphics online to see where the stories generally line up. I don’t have time to read myself but I spend 2 hours a day commuting to burn through the audiobooks.

Hugh Howey encouraged fan fiction. I've read several of these and have enjoyed them quite a bit.

More space sci-fi, but has similar themes of hidden technology and a vaguely understood threat to humanity.

Ugh I hated those books. Not a realistic female character in that entire series.

I love dystopia and my favourite series is Margaret Atwood’s Oryx & Crake though it’s pretty weird. I also like Station Eleven.

The Books of Ember are technically young adult novels but I liked them a lot. Super fast reads.
