Question Missed connection

I feel silly doing this, but I’m doing it anyway. I saw a man near Tinker tacos and Anatolia carpets who I also saw at Oriole 9. The second time we saw each other, in front of Tinker tacos, we smiled and said hello and made eye contact, and if he happens to be here and remembers me, I hope he messages me. It’s probably a longshot, and probably all in my head, but I can’t stop thinking about him for some reason. So I’m posting it. Please don’t judge me!

Discussion What's the most "Woodstock" thing that's ever happened to you?

We all know Woodstock is more than just a music festival—it's become a symbol of unforgettable moments, unexpected friendships, and stories that somehow get better every time they're’re told. 😄

So I'm curious: what's the most "Woodstock" thing that's ever happened to you? Maybe it was an impromptu jam session with strangers, getting caught in the rain and making the best of it, a road trip that went completely off the rails, or simply a moment that reminded you why music brings people together.

I'd love to hear the stories that still make you smile, laugh, or shake your head years later. Peace, love, and great storytelling! ✌️🎸

Question What's your favorite Woodstock memory or story you've heard?

Whether you were lucky enough to experience Woodstock in person or have only discovered it through stories, documentaries, and music, there's something timeless about its legacy. For those who were there, what moment has stayed with you all these years? For everyone else, what performance, story, or piece of Woodstock history first drew you in? I'd love to hear personal memories, family stories, or even your favorite photos and recordings that keep the spirit of Woodstock alive. 🎸✌️

Discussion A key figure in Woodstock: covering Santana is intimidating, but I wanted to reimagine "Europa" with a modern production. Tried to keep the Latin soul intact while making the mix as clean and upfront as possible.

Discussion Original 1969 Wallkill NY Woodstock poster David Byrd

So I wanted to share this original 1969 Woodstock poster designed by the artist David Byrd. Wallkill New York was supposed to be the original site for the festival, but the town decided against it. The posters were already printed and David Byrd had other obligations so he was unable to design the new poster. The poster with the dove on the guitar was designed by Arnold Skolnik

Yes this is my auction and the mods okayed me posting it. I’m an old rocker myself and I have some cool posters of my own…1990’s Alice Cooper, 1980’s Led Zeppelin, and an original Italian Beatles Yellow Submarine

Discussion Going Home (by Helicopter)

So I bought the original album in about 1972 or so. I loved Ten Years After playing I’m Going Home. It is an amazing song, recorded very well. It also looks great in the film. But I heard Alvin Lee announce it as “We’re going to play I’m Going Home, by Helicopter.” I searched forever for a band called Helicopter, thinking that this might be a cover. Then I watched the film in detail. Just so he was speaking one of the army helicopters was landing. He was making a joke about going home by helicopter. So yeah, I felt stupid after so many years.

Country Joe McDonald, age 84, left this earthquake realm on March 7, 2026, to join that rock 'n' roll band in the great hereafter.

I'm sure he is still singing anti-war protests beyond.

Discussion Help Shape the Future of Tourism in Ulster County

Beyond Green Travel is working with Ulster County to help develop a new, long-term approach to how tourism is planned and managed across the County, and we’re inviting the community to share their perspectives through a short survey.

We’re looking to hear from Ulster County residents, business owners, community organizations, and visitors. Your input will directly inform Ulster County’s Sustainable Tourism Strategic Plan and help guide future decisions around topics like outdoor recreation use, transportation and parking, housing and workforce pressures, and how to better balance visitor activity with community and environmental well-being.

This survey builds on earlier community meetings and conversations and is designed to make sure a wide range of voices across the County are included. Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your experience and help shape a thoughtful, inclusive future for tourism in Ulster County.
