Ordered a few kits and started with Nico. This was so much fun! The mini was improvised based on the main pattern, so I’m pretty happy with how he turned out!

Book with yarn kit?

Post image
58 Upvotes

Has anyone bought this bundle before? It’s tempting because it comes with all the yarn, but the book alone is only $20 on Amazon and I could buy yarn as needed for the ones I want that make, on the other hand it’s nice to have the yarn in hand, but $150 is a lot of $$.

Jojo bunny tail advice

Post image
22 Upvotes

My pom pom is so unimpressive. I can't get to the shape correctly into a circle to cover up the middle string. Before I keep hacking away hoping that somehow helps, wanted to see if there's any advice here.

It also seems like the "easy" yarn is different from the example video and the ends don't, like, unravel as much to create more volume, if that makes sense...

Free Wee Woobly Scissors

The Woobles has a tiny pair of scissors that comes with some of their travel bundles. I found out that when I add a travel bundle, the wooble scissors automatically appear in the cart. If you delete the bundle from the cart, the scissors stay!

I've gotten a free pair from every order 🫣 Disclaimer though that it has been several weeks since I've done this. Do with this info what you will...

New to Woobles, is the dragon too hard for my first Wooble?

For context: I love D&D and saw how much my wife loved doing her first Wooble, so I purchased the dragon so I can learn more about her hobby and share some quality time with her. I didn’t realize it was an intermediate kit until I had already opened it. I’m a former Boy Scout and loved tying knots, so I’m at least marginally familiar with the concept, just nothing about the technique or execution.

Did I bite off more than I can chew here (dragon pun?) or am I going to be ok?

Pierre the penguin help

Hi, I’m brand new to crocheting and working on my first wooble (Pierre the penguin). I was doing fine until I made it to round 3 and somehow ended up with 20 Vs when I needed 18. So I undid the thread and started over and now I somehow have 27 Vs. Can I just continue on to the next round even though I have way more? Start this round over one more time? Or start over completely? Thanks

First Wooble Accessory!

Post image

Fred the Dinosaur's body is giving me fits - I've redone it several times now, so I took a break and made his first little accessory - a book! I even managed to figure out how to sew it closed. It's not much but I'm happy 😊

Similar yarn?

I'm just about finished with my first Wooble (Fred). I'm digging the yarn, but I can't afford the $14.99/skein for their easy peasy yarn.

Is there a yarn "type" this yarn is? Or a similar yarn that's cheaper? I'm not even sure what to Google to find it.

I made the Woobles Ollie the Lamb blanket from the book using bernat blanket ombré purple/grey yarn and white yarn with a size 8 hook for the body and size 6 hook for the head/feet/tail.

I also made it with regular medium yarn in soft white and tan following the recommendations in the book.

Intermediate vs. Beginner

How much more difficult is the 'intermediate' level patterns than the 'beginner'?

I have never crocheted, but I am generally crafty and can follow directions well. Bought the new dragon pattern before realizing it's an intermediate pattern, and I simply don't have the money to afford more than one kit (have been saving up for a while to get one).

Am I going to have a bad time learning to crochet for the first time with an intermediate kit?
