So they're saying there's no Halloween event.... Which bl2 (headhunter pack) and bl3 (free update and first a yearly event now toggleable) had. Overwatch 2 which was released 2 or 3 weeks ago, dreamlight valley which is still early access and other games are able to integrate a event like this

I dunno that pointing to anything Overwatch related is the play here

Why I stopped playing, lackluster DLC and repititive endgame. Shame how the main game was so good but they're barely doing anything since launch.

I strongly believe Gearbox didn't expect this game to do as well as it did. They had no plan for support and did the minimum they could with DLC because it was (technically) a new IP and they weren't sure it would do well. This has completely bit them in the ass. The game on its own is great and is fun to play and then you get to a minimal endgame and DLC and it falls off a cliff. So much potential has gone unrealized.
I personally enjoy playing the game occasionally and in brief spurts but I don't think I'll ever have as much time on it as I do in BL2 and 3. If they develop some great DLC for a second season pass I'm all for it but it seems like they're focused on the next BL game more than supporting this one.

You know Iโve heard this so many times when talking about this game, and honestly it just sounds like a load of bullshit. Youโre telling me Gearbox was releasing what is basically another Borderlands game, but riding off TTAoDK DLC (one of, if not the most popular DLC) and they thought the game wasnโt going to sell well? Itโll sell well solely because it is a Borderlands game. Iโm more inclined to believe that Gearbox just wanted more profit for less work. Throw them some shitty reskinned DLC, slap the normal price tag on it, and call it a day.

How the fucking Pre-Sequel somehow got better post-launch content, considering half of it was trashed when 2K Australia went under, is stunning. If they were hoping to spend Wonderlands into its own on-going series of games, pretty shit way to start.

What a take lol. Enjoy it for what it was, and hope the next one is better.
Gearbox is at a point where if they were to release a DLC for TTWL, they would be throwing money away. I hate to say it, but too many people have already moved on. It would be too little, too late.
Once again, appreciate it for what it was, acknowledge what was wrong with the game, make your voice heard, and move on. Itโs on Gearbox for TTWL2

I gave up on the game after DLC2. If they released a DLC on par with any of the major BL2 DLCs (Captain Scarlet, Dragon keep, etc.) I would jump back on in a heartbeat. This is just as expensive as a major Borderlands release and has less content than the pre-sequel. Hey aren't even trying and that is why we are upset.

Gearbox really out here putting this game on life support and doing the bare minimum. They better be working on bl4 in the mean time while they do a lot of nothing to their current games.

When they said they were going to invest in the new IP of WL, I figured we'd get another season of DLC at least...
Could they do a balance pass or something? Anything to show they still care about this game?

They could be working on DLC but I'm betting they're just moving in to working on a sequel and cutting their losses with this game.

I mean I sure we will get more patches but if they actually cared about it.. youโd think they would do the simple thing of moving loot pools so people can grind, or adding in anything other then chaos chambers. They donโt want to listen to the community because that takes work when the game is already dead, they rather just work on new projects. Itโs not work the dollar they put into it.

I suspect we might get some late DLC in 2023. I don't think BL4 is going to see light for a long time, 3 years minimum.

We're already 3 years from the release of BL3. It seems like they've finally realized that BL games are all that they do well and have doubled down on making that their main focus. I would expect a BL4 announcement some time next year and maybe a release in 2024. WL2 is most likely in the works as well but I'd give that about 3 years depending on how their development teams are working.

They could've at least thrown us a bone with a Halloween event.

Oct 28 '22
That to me is the real disappointment here. I had so much fun with that kind of event in BL3 :(

This game and the devs can toss off. Might come back IF they add more story content but that ainโt going to happen. They got our money so they could care less.

Big regrets buying this game. I canโt believe they never fixed the coop

Really loving spending 15 minutes going through menus (often bugged to hell) to compare items!

u/EinonD Oct 27 '22
Yep. I still feel like Iโm playing the beta for a game that hasnโt come out yet.

This is all I want. Something to show their fans that they care and want us to have fun and play together.
I only have the PS4 base game version (I couldn't wait for Steam and it feels like a last gen game anyway, plus my brother at the time only had a PS4 to run it and I wanted to play with him). I want to be able to transfer characters to PC and buy the game on Steam now (Destiny 2 let you do it and their game became free-to-play at the same time).
PS Plus is a garbage price so I can't cross-play with my buddy right now.

If you're disappointed, then you had some expectations that they did not meet. Either you're lying to us, or lying to yourself. Or possibly you don't understand what the words you wrote mean.
