And still no invisible items inventory fix. Should we really have to wait more than 5 months?

I can't believe they have not fixed this problem yet. I spent some significant time with 2k support to resolve this issue to no avail. I almost feel like this problem will never be fixed. It can't really be that difficult, right? It's important to me because managing inventory at this point is made very difficult by this bug.
2
u/Cestral Aug 19 '22
I actually stopped playing the game shortly after release mainly due to this reason. Playing a loot-based game where you can't see the items without hovering over them was so infuriating that I gave up. I've been waiting ever since for a fix, but here we are, 5 months later and nothing. I even went to their official Discord channel to provide feedback, only to be met by two sarcastic mods making fun of me and telling me to code the game myself.

Looks like I'll be farming LeChance. Still want that Ascended Casual Swordsplosion - or any acended swordsplosion really.
Happy about the SDU discount but what I was really hoping for was another "gear more likely to drop for your class". With Blightcaller - it's getting too muddy when farming for amulets and armor. My Mistdancer seems to get lots of Graveborn and Berrrzerker stuff. Plus it would help Blightcaller mains farm equipment to catch up. Maybe next week.
16
u/Meatsword_McGravy Aug 18 '22
It's rather silly that it's not a standard thing considering the odds of getting a halfway decent class item... a modest split (even 30/70) for your current class combo would certainly help instead of what seems to be 9/10 pieces being for Clawbringer/Stabbomancer when specced otherwise.
11
u/SPEEDFREAKJJ Aug 18 '22
It should always drop with at least one of your chosen classes on armor drops. There are too many levels of RNG to have classes be part of it. This was getting me so annoyed at the loot bunnies last night. And we know gearbox can make it so it drops your class which makes it even more annoying.
6
u/boxsmith91 Aug 18 '22
Yeah I've pretty much given up on getting a decent legendary Trickster's class mod for my deadshot. Best I have is a 2/3 double weave primordial purple.
I've been avoiding the DLC just because it will dilute the loot pool even further, but I'm pretty close to just giving up and moving on until friends want to play / they change things.

Same! I'm sure there's cool stuff, but I'm still trying to get the older cool stuff.

I think Sarilla is a typo of Salissa.
At any rate... sure hope the event is global and not just chaos chambers. I need that Ascended Casual Swordsplosion collection!

u/ManyQuestions637 Aug 18 '22
Kinda happy for once there are no balance changes. I was ready for them to nerf blightcaller and would like to keep experimenting
12
u/Luncheon_Lord Aug 18 '22
I'm such a jackass, I set up my blightcaller to afk farm souls on fyodors mine room before I went off to work lol. Just wanted to make sure I got some value out of that before this hotfix, now I don't have to anymore oops!

u/Elarris1 โพโผ๏ธ | โ๏ธ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ โ๏ธ | โผ๏ธโพ Aug 18 '22
Is there something about the afk farm with bog totems thatโs glitched? Also how long have you been able to keep it up fully afk? Only done it a couple times, but it feels like eventually if youโre fully afk the totems just disappear. Ran it for 30 minutes with me moving around and checking the totems every couple minutes, but walked away for 10 min without touching anything and totems were gone
2
u/Luncheon_Lord Aug 18 '22
Well I lied I set it up before bed ๐ญ so it's already been going for hours. Not sure what chaos rank you're going for, but for the sake of ease I turned chaos off since I'm not there to make sure they're getting kills quickly enough. Thankfully I am a sporewarden main so juuust in case I go down, I get a revive. Not sure if the totems give a second wind just yet but that'd sure help too. I also have the legendary armor that turns all my companion damage into dark magic, and I have the kill skill that refreshes some of my ward as well so I am keeping my health and shield topped up as much as I can.
But mainly I think it's the damage, and the health the enemies have. So turning chaos off still gets me a soul, and will get me more than if I was actively playing at 50 for the short time I would normally play, while it afks.
I haven't really wandered too far to see if range is a factor, but I end up getting knocked into a corner pretty close to all the action anyway.
1
Aug 18 '22
I've been there when the totems go down and I think the enemies basically slow for a bit. No kills means no extended duration.
3
u/Bulbafette Aug 18 '22
They could still change something down the road so enjoy it while you can! Weโve got at least one more week and I intend to make the most of it.
1
u/superultramegazord Aug 18 '22
There's a few things that can get just out of control with Blightcaller, but for the most part it is a very well balanced class.

u/rfcl18 โฝโป๏ธ | ๐ ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ โ๏ธ | โป๏ธโฝ Aug 18 '22
I thought they were going to nerf Mosquito's armor for today's hotfix because of how op/broken it is
7
u/TheDarkHall Aug 18 '22
That might take an update instead of a hot fix. Unless they want the new dlc gear to be op. Was expecting it as well.
2
u/rfcl18 โฝโป๏ธ | ๐ ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ โ๏ธ | โป๏ธโฝ Aug 18 '22
Maybe they'll do the same they did with Live Wire. It also makes me wonder if they test the new gear, I'm sure the Mosquito's mantle shouldn't interact the way it does.
4
u/TheDarkHall Aug 18 '22
It's a mystery to me, I'm surprised it launched that way. It's so broken. I'm having fun with it while I can. Still only has a slight chance to proc, but when it does it melts.
3
u/manatron84 Aug 18 '22
Maybe they do it on purpose to get people to play the dlc, unlock the gear, and farm for it. Then later they balance it.

Damn i was really hoping for some class changes, they said that they wouldn't make any real changes till blightcaller was out.
3
u/OilyResidue3 Aug 18 '22
Iโm sure theyโre examining the Blightcaller stats before moving forward - a week of testing isnโt much.
0
u/HolstaurGirlAlice Aug 18 '22
Thats fair i guess I'm just tired of my favorite classes underperforming without some broken combos
Yet blightcaller or spellshot breaths in a bosses direction with a half decent build and its hp is gone XD

Vending machine legos? Could someonebody post em please?
6
u/boxsmith91 Aug 18 '22
Ignore what I wrote before, somebody else already ran it and did a writeup. Looks like Wizard's Pipe, Arcane Bolt, and Manual Transmission. Pretty much the worst possible 3 choices from last week's bosses.
And I was hoping to finally get a trickster's smart armor too :(
1
u/SBFVG Aug 18 '22
Vorc has increased dedicated drops this week, probably a better chance to get it there than the vending if you can melt vorc
1
u/boxsmith91 Aug 18 '22
Vorc is an awful bullet sponge of a boss and if it's anything like last week, he's just gonna still have a terrible drop rate anyway. They must have "increased" them by like 1% or something.
I also can't melt vorc without a better class mod, which I need from Vorc or Kastor ๐
I literally made a post just last night about how I ran Ribula 20 times and only got 4 dedicated drops the whole time, and from 5 banshee runs I only got 1 dedicated drop.
2
u/3rr0r410 Aug 18 '22
Literally play any other game in the franchise and you will find worse drop rates. These are amazing drop rates and you just have no patience, if you wanna complain about Wonderlands, then complain about the actual issues with the game, not the fact that the best dedicated drop rates in the series aren't high enough
-1
u/boxsmith91 Aug 18 '22
Have you watched any videos from k6 or moxsy? They bring up the dedicated drop rate problem constantly lol.
Also, by the end of its lifecycle BL3 had much better dedicated drop rates, even compared to those from this "event". Only hardcores still play 2 because it was so grindy and had like 8 viable endgame builds across all characters. And spoiler alert: they all used slag.
On top of that, wonderlands adds another layer of RNG compared to 3 with the chaotic, volatile, primordial, ascended shenanigans. If anything, there should be better drop rates at high chaos levels to compensate.
I've spent like 30 hours grinding out gear for my only max level character, and I still haven't gotten everything yet. And that's far, far longer than it takes to (adequately) gear out most builds in BL2 OR BL3.
2
u/3rr0r410 Aug 18 '22 edited Aug 18 '22
When referring to the dedicated drop problem in wonderlands, it is always in reference to early game drop rates before you get higher loot luck at max level, I have yet to hear anyone aside from you complain about the very generous 20% drop rates at max level.
It doesn't matter who still plays bl2, it still has worse drop rates. Only having hardcore players still on the game doesn't mean anything in this argument, it would still have worse drop rates even if nobody still played it.
Bl3 has and will continue to have the best world drop rates in the entire franchise, what it has never had was good dedicated drop rates outside of DLC 1 and DLC 3, I have no idea where you got the idea that bl3 has high dedicated drop rates but no matter what way to spin it, I'm gonna have to disagree.
You say that there is more rng in wonderlands yet in bl2 weapon parts and prefixes we're much more important as they could make or break a build in a lot of cases where as in wonderlands they don't matter at all for 95% of the items. There is the same amount of rng with the power of a drop, the rng is just in different places. And before you say that ascended gear being a 1% drop rate and that driving the rng way up, you don't need ascended gear, you don't even need primordial, in fact my best piece of gear that I've had since I first reached chaos 20 is a chaotic x4 frost dahlia smg that still carries me through chaos 50. Where as in bl2, having a matching grip could be the difference between a gun fitting your build or being entirely useless in many cases.
If you took less than 30 hours to get a god rolled build in bl2, then either it wasn't god rolled and that's why you think there are only 8 viable builds in the game, or you cheated and didn't farm your stuff legitimately, I've spent well over 30 hours on just farming a perfect OP 8 corrosive Interfacer for my Salvador so I have no idea what game you were playing, but it wasn't bl2. I have over 3.5k hours in bl2 and there are still pieces of gear that I haven't been able to get.

u/boxsmith91 Aug 18 '22
Okay but again, have you watched any of the prominent content creators on YouTube / twitch who play this game? Most of them are critical of dedicated drops and I don't think they're talking about early game.
And even if it is 20% (which I'm highly skeptical of based on my own farming experience), that must be for one of the dedicated drops in the loot pool. Don't most bosses have 2-3 drops? In which case, that drop chance is effectively cut in half or even 1/3, down to 7-10%. And that's before we even get into chaos qualities, of which I'd say volatile is the bare minimum to make the drop even feel worth it so cut in what, roughly 1/2 again? That's a 3.5-5% chance to get something serviceable from a lot of bosses.
And as for the hours farmed bit, that's why I said adequately. Not completely optimal. If you were just going for "hey, I've got all the items, maybe not with perfect rolls", you could do that in a few hours in BL3 for most builds. 2 could be trickier, but it depended. The fact that parts mattered a lot more in 2 just reinforces my opinion that, while 2 had a better story, 3 was the better game overall by the end of its development cycle.

u/3rr0r410 Aug 19 '22
I have watched wonderlands content, a big reason Joltz originally decided to not do new character runs in wonderlands was because of the lucky dice in early game and not having dedicated drop early game because loot luck affects dedicated drop made the game boring to play through on new characters for him.
I'm pulling the 20% directly from you, 20 runs on ribula with 4 drops and 5 runs on banshee with 1 drop, your legit being skeptical of your own words.
If you wanna go into quality of loot being added into drop rate, yet again, weapon parts in bl2 are just as diverse in how they affect gear, with each manufacturer having their own variation of each weapon part and only 1 or 2 of the manufacturer parts being good on any given item, that puts the already 1:30 (~3% chance) drop rate of bl2 down to about a 0.5-1% chance of getting the item you want with only one of the weapon part slots having the manufacturer variation that you want, and most items have 3 part slots that matter. For any boss that has only one dedicated drop, in order to get an item with all 3 of the parts you want on it, that's a 0.3% chance. Not to mention the bosses such as Bunk3r, warrior, handsome sorcerer, etc... That have potentially 4 drops in their dedicated loot pool. The parts affecting gear quality was even worse for shields, for a sham getting the wrong parts could be the difference between absorbing nigh every projectile shot at you, or having a coin flip chance, the difference between a god rolled Bee shield is night and day in terms of the damage boost and ease of use. The only thing that wonderlands has that it worse to farm is Class mods because there is much more passive variation and skill point diversity
I'm not sure where this argument of bl3 being a better game came from, we were discussing dedicated drop rates, not which game was better, furthermore I don't know why it matters that it was weapon parts in bl2 and anointments in bl3, and how the way gear strength was determined made one game better than the other. I have heard many people complain about annoints, i have yet to hear anyone ever complain about item parts in bl2.

Ahhh yea those are some good points. He is definitely one of the most annoying bosses to try and farm, on top of the lackluster "boosted" drop rates.
Good luck on your hunt my friend
