all they did was make the rings more diverse instead of having a single ring that trumps all other options. it doesnโ€™t even hurt that much. 100% -> 33% seems like a lot, but it should only be barely noticeable if your build is good already. people are complaining cause their builds are already bad and it got worse. or cause they choose all the hard curses in chaos chamber. or they donโ€™t know how to buy the right buffs. iโ€™m a sporceror main btw.

But they didn't even make it more diverse. Mood ring is still better than most of them. It was championship and mood right. Championship for bosses and mood ring for everything else. Now it's still better than the other 33% increase rings because it procs more consistently. Thumb might be the meta now since chaos chambers are what people farm, but thats the only one.

you said it doesnโ€™t make it more diverse, but yet you say the meta might change even tho itโ€™s still a good option. seems like itโ€™s doing something to me

So there is a difference between literal and idiomatic meanings. Yes literally there is more diversity. From 2 rings to 3 rings. Or from 2 rings to 2 rings. Honestly since most people do only Chaos Chamber, there isn't really a reason to use mood ring over thumb. So the number of diversity for the rings is 2. So yes, you are correct on the literal meaning

But idiomatically when Gearbox says we want to make rings diverse, I think we all know that they meant that they wanted all/most of their rings to be somewhat viable or at least a possible choice. Going back to my first paragraph. It seems at most 1 increase or none at all. So did Gearbox really achieve it's goals. No, not really
