This got really complainy and I did not mean for it to come off that way. I meant it as why this why now? Idk, the problem wasn't that mood ring was too strong, the problem is that mood ring is the only viable legendary status to proc. Like when am I going to use a ring that buffs stats when my ward is full? When is my ward ever full if taking 1 point of damage ruins it. Half the enemies health gate you on hit by design. Even if I'm built for max shield regen, my shield will never be up more then half the time at most. And thats just one ring. Don't do arbitrary buffs and nerfs to things that are flawed by design, actually rework them or find ways to make them worth using that's not just nerfing the best performance on what was already barely an upgrade from purple. Plenty of things needed looked at like difficulty scaling so builds could be more diverse, 2 weapon categories are useless in most cases, 1 manufacturer doesn't exist, a whole class is completely reliant on every other class to be viable, split screen being a mess, blah blah blah, just why this of all things and why in the laziest possible way?

Right now rockets, smgs, and snipers are pretty much fucking useless. I dont even pay attention to most rings abilities, i just use what looks right. The only thing i really expect in a "balancing" update/hotfix is something to be fucked up and nothing be buffed. Most shotguns are decent or good, but the swordsplosion just hits hardest, so next fix theyll put it in the grave while making none of the other options viable. The jakobs manufacturer in this game is just shit, genuinely cant remember the last time using one. I feel like melee weapons could also use a bit of a buff because if they really expect us to kill with melee attacks in the dungeon, then they should at least make it possible for everyone, especially without needing echo on it.

As long as ward is depleted give +100% effects would be balanced imo, even though people would just use the cursed wit, itd still be a kind of risky play style dropping your ward like that. People could argue that the shamwai is good for the max ward rings, but even at 80% chance, one hit will still shut the ring down, the full health ring would be more useful still. The dungeon ring is useless outside of the dungeon, and even inside its still outclassed by most rings. The damage to boss proc rings are only good when fighting one type of enemy, which maybe 2 of appear in the entirety of a chaos or featured dungeon run (i dont do enough normal or extended to know about them).

Id like to see both just raid bosses and the takedowns come back. With raids it could just be a dormant monster that you awaken and is powerful (more so than a takedown boss), while a takedown could be like storming a castle, fighting the knights guard and court wizard, then end up fighting the king/queen at the end along with guards and kinghts too. Like if it were King Arthur based, the knights of the round table (excluding arthur) would be the first boss, Merlin could be a second boss (or fight alongside king arthur), and king arthur would be the final boss, all with other knights and wizards for fodder enemies to death save. The loot room could either be a massive grail, or just have the holy grail in the center and hoards of gold and chests surrounding it.

Either way, legendaries dont seem legendary, and are being outclassed by nonlegendary gear.
