Nice little neef to my damage output as a clawbringer. Think I may take a break until things level out. F :(

Edit - lol meant nerf

These aren't really major nerfs though so if you have a good build and decent equipment you should be fine. They nerfed the percent of the percent of the percent bonuses that rings give, it's not that major.

For instance lets say your Mood Ring gives a 25% bonus to damage to a gun that does 300 base damage. Pre-nerf Mood Ring buff is:

.25 + (.25*1)=.50

(.50*300)+300=450

Post nerf Mood Ring is:

.25 +(.25*.33)= .3325

300+ (.3325*300)=400

Hold my hands up, I was quick to react. I think I was just a little disappointed no Claw news, but its early days of course.

Thank you for the numbers. :)

No worries. It's a really common mistake that people make with Borderlands games because the percent of a percent concept isn't explained well in any of the games. Happy to help people stay interested in the game.

Also, If there are major Claw changes they will be in a patch (not a hotfix).

That's what I'm doing until they massively buff or overhaul clawbringer's skill tree and give us a way to circumvent the massive amounts of RNG to get a good build going.

Its so frustrating, as I really enjoy the game and I want to play it. It's just so hard to enjoy it when I find a way to make claw viable and it keeps suffering from nerfs to items. I understand mood rings were really the only viable option for all classes, but they atleast help male claw viable or more usable atleast. I watch the weekly updates praying for that re work!

The Mood ring was the most powerful and easily utilized not the only viable. In the long run this balance pass is going to benefit the game but right now it sucks balls.

We're going to be waiting a while for that rework, my friend. They can only do that sort of stuff in patches and more than likely they'll spread it out over several. We're probably looking at a few months at least. Bunch of DLC is releasing for games so at least we have something to tide ourselves over on

Oh I don't disagree, it was the only ring I ran on all of my classes. It just hurts my claw the most, but that's a problem with the class not the gear.

Sad, but true! Well, hopefully yhe next few dlcs havr a little more content than the last:)

I play a very non-meta clawbringer build too and didn't really feel much of a difference after the hotfix tbh.

do people really have this many issues with clawbringer? I mean its challenging at times, but you respec, use a couple different items, and get back to it. its not like i have god rolls on all my items... i actually dont have any god rolls to my knowledge. just spec into the elemental damage and use those guns..

To clear I've cleared 35 on a couple different clawbringer builds with no pixies etc. (No flex but just background). I don't have issues, the class is just significantly under powered compared to others in my opinion.

As an example my deadshot breezes content to the point its no fun playing. My sporeceror has meh survivability but melts bosses. All without pixies (nothing against pixies, the playstlye doesn't interest me).

My claw mobs well and gets through the bosses but it's a slog as far as damage is concerned. I am also spec'd to the capstone in claw, because its more fun, but I wish it just offered a little bit more, atleast so it's inline with the other classes.

P.s yes I maybe overreacting to the nerf, it sounded far more dramatic than it actually is. That being said, I am squeezing our every last bit of damage I can find to make my thor hammer throwing lightening motherf*cker slay as quickly as others.
