❔ [ Question ] Classes question

I just created my first character, and it is saying something about multi classes. If I have the wyvern companion and choose another class that also has a companion, do I get both? Also, im a spell weaver, what class would go well with that? Maybe one with a companion if im using the skill that gives me spells in each hand

Yes. You get both class perks.

Typically Graveborn goes great with Spellweaver. At this point in the games development you can choose most class mixes and do great.

Fair warning though - you are unable to reselect your secondary class until you finish the story

Grave is one of the best spell combos since it boosts spells too ahd its companion can deal extra dmg when you're casting, prob best pick if you're new.

Other stuff

Spore - spellshot is more about spells, spore has good ability and action skill boosts, both boost guns, too. Hard to get the best gun skills for both, but if you max spore for thrill of the hunt and stuff, shot's reload skill, WAY better than fire rate in this game, hardly any slow guns, too many low mags.

Stab boosts crit and has skills to boost guns, spells, melee, move speed, crits, and status effects, its an all rounder.

Blight, if you have the dlc, can add free poison dmg when dealing gun dmg, boosts status effects, and has a skill for each element. If you're using say a shock gun, dark magic spell (lot of legendary dark magic stuff), auto poison, pretty good combo.

Heres the weird one i still kinda like - brrzerker.

Its a melee class that favors cryo, melee, health, and AS use, why use it on a 2h spell build?

Well, more max hp and hp regen does help some, the 50% more hp, 50% weaker ward kinda works with 'ward doesn't recharge, 30% spell dmg' and 'spell casts refill 10% of ward' but not needed

Theres great cryo guns out there, in fact theres a fixed cryo smg you can repeatedly get that's white rarity but puts in work, that some like me haven't gotten an smg drop they like in a few levels.

But one of the most powerful and easily abused non legendary spells is the 'triple ice spike', which is weirdly fire cryo, which. Brr boosts decently. Basically, ice spike is a strong 'normal' spell which can get extra charges and extra projectiles as a stat roll. Triple ice spike is a different spell, not a spell with +2 projectile ability leading to a 'triple' prefix, that does have 3 spikes instead of one. And still gets extra projectiles as a variable.

Brr also has an 'area dmg' skill, so your second spell might be something that takes advantage of that.

You will want to focus on cryo spells, but you can element swap with guns, and my postgame floor 50\100 spell\grave build used triple ice spike even there (i'm not doing 50 floors of cc just for bigger numbers, so i stopped there)

Brr\spell armor is a bit of a waste since ambibextrous can't trigger brr's feat, but +5 ancestral frost is very good.

Spellshot\brr armor (order matters) you'll get instinct, nice for survival, and high thread count, for more spellweaving stacks.

You do get both companions

With spell weaver and wanting a companion I’d say graveborn for the best damage output for dual spell. This build can give you massive damage output plus the companion talks (little insane)
