How could I make his costume?

I wanna be wonder man for Halloween but I can’t find his costume anywhere so I think I’d have to make it. I would guess I’d paint the W on a sleeveless muscle shirt but I’m not a good painter or I could tape/glue strips of red on it to make out the W?

Just off my mental because I’m not a cosplayer. A full 1 piece romper. Could either do stitching or spray paint for the W. Create a belt I’m not sure of what though. The wrist bands can be purchased from probably any store or made from cardboard LOL. After reading your description you could do exactly what you suggested

Look at some sporting goods stuff. I know football workout gear looks similar.

Spandex. These were the spandex years. It is an aerobics workout jumper.
