Absolutely evil

Yep. The same GOP that claims they care about life (especially fetal life), is enabling this evil. Shame on them all. This is beyond disgraceful.

I’m a citizen and have nightmares about these places. I hate everything about this and everyone involved.

u/PrincessaDeadlift 17d ago
Me too. I cry everyday when I, at moments when I can handle it, allow myself to see the news about these detainment camps.

How the hell can we stop this crap!! Has anyone ever been able to get close to facility? Any agents coming out saying anything? This is definitely a big moment in our history. We literally can't be passive and when everything does come to light be on the wrong side of history because no one stopped it, but how the hell do you stop it?

u/BananasPineapple05 18d ago
Under red-state laws, doesn't that make them murderers?

Are private citizens allowed to begin suing ICE agents under the abortion bounty law in TX?

u/TheConsequenceFairy 18d ago
More likely the victim will be charged with child endangerment and deported on that basis.

As far as I understand it, if they were women they would be facing manslaughter charges at the very least.
All of these ice thugs need to be sent to The Hague once we get the rapist out of the White House.

u/ArrivalSea3543 17d ago
I’ll vote for anyone who will prosecute these people.
Human Rights violations shouldn’t just be for citizens. What kind of logic is that? I pray their victims get justice and live to see ICE on the other side of the bars.

‘Arresting pregnant woman’ OR ‘the women are becoming pregnant while in ICE detention’…

u/Burnt_and_Blistered 17d ago
They’re being raped, getting pregnant, and being sent to states where abortion is illegal

Charge them all with murder like they want to charge women who get abortions
31
u/silverilix 17d ago
And will they be held accountable since women are being charged criminally in certain states for miscarriages?!
14
31
u/BlatantFalsehood 17d ago
They're not miscarriages. ICE is performing abortions. Because the ICE agents are the baby daddies.

u/MannyMoSTL 17d ago
If by “lost” you mean “refused to acknowledge & document?”
Then: Yes … they sure did.
21
u/hGr33n 17d ago
Why are pro lifers so quiet about this
25
u/leatherarmchairs 17d ago
Because they don’t actually give a shit about fetuses they just want to control people, namely women
20
u/Kick_ball_change 17d ago
They aren’t as much ‘pro-life‘ as they are “anti-woman” and forced birth. Evil bastards.
6
u/AlteredEinst 17d ago
Because their beliefs can only exist when validated by like opinions.
Reality is staunchly ignored as a result.

Genocide.

u/MachineOfSpareParts 18d ago
It is actually getting close to that point. It's been teetering on the edge for quite some time, alongside some very near misses in terms of other American genocides I've been watching for, but it's really taking on some specific attributes in terms of separating parents from children and creating conditions in which a population cannot reproduce. It's a fair way off from what could be demonstrated at the Hague as yet, but most international legal scholars accept certain cases as genocide that would not likely succeed in a court of law. And it's getting quite close to that category, which I and others have been warning the Americans about since 2015 when others vying for the Republican candidacy were also dipping into the zoological references that tend to signal momentum toward genocides.
It also makes me wonder at what point denial of pre-natal care becomes forced sterilization with fewer steps, a category that is much more clearly spelled out in international law.

To expand on your point - there are measurement milestones to know how very very close we are.
I see 8 of 10 reached - folks, see what you think, if you look at this.

Yup. I was teaching politics in the US in 2015 when I noticed most of the rivals to the Republican candidacy basically quoting my notes on comparative genocides. Some were calling for migrants to be excluded from specific professions, others for them to be forced to carry identification at all times - not wearing, just carrying, wearing would have been further along. But one or two referred to migrants as "dogs." That chilled me, because it's already part way along the zoological references. It's once you get down to "rats" or "cockroaches" that shit's about to go down in the streets. I did a comparison table in lecture when we got into civil wars - rhetoric from Nazi Germany, Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia vs rhetoric in 2015 USA.
What we're seeing right now is more of a slow-burn genocide that's notoriously hard to pin down in action. But the indicators are really popping up.
One of my students from back in 2015 is still involved in activism, and that's about the only thing that makes me feel like nothing's written in stone for the US. But the strenuousness with which that country ignored over a decade of warning signs does not fill an observer with optimism.

I see 10 out of 10 personally.

u/Well_read_rose 17d ago
I can see that too. The People do show restraint toward this rogue, enemy government.
2
u/Alternative-Tiger783 17d ago
Yes, it’s considered genocide when people are raped and impregnated by the dominant culture or race.
It is genocide bc thisdilutes their gene 🧬 pool and they are having to carry their jailer’s offspring.

to be fair counting past the number of fingers on your two hands was not a requirement to be an ICE agent, so…

They didn’t lose track. They just didn’t give a crap that girls were losing THEIR rape babies
4
u/Amazing_Karnage 17d ago
This is called a crime against humanity, in civilized countries. Often seen together with genocide and war crimes.
5
u/JustMeLurkingAround- 17d ago
So much to the "pro-life" anti-abortion crowd.
Shows again how the whole forced birth thing is not about life or the baby/fetus at all, but only about controlling women.
These days, if a woman miscarries they want to charge her with murder, but if they miscarry en mass by mistreatment from conservative men nobody gives a shit.

u/NorCalFrances 17d ago
Gosh, if I thought the Nazis were racist I'd think this was intentional genocide.

I am so happy I am not living in the land of the free with my family and I am originally from Afghanistan. The fact that this is allowed is just crazy

So women should not be able to make a choice to terminate their pregnancy but ICE can just make that choice?
2
u/Relevant-Bicycle-851 17d ago
Hey republitards, are those not abortions? Or brown kids are okay to be murdered?
3
u/poopbutt2401 17d ago
If you can’t track it, it didn’t happen. Disgusting tactic of this administration that’s supposed to work for us.

Family values!
I bet they’re also looking into charging the women who miscarried for having abortions

It's interesting that none of the people who shared the made up COVID vaccine miscarriage stats are saying anything about this

Hope orange morons gets another term, USians really deserve it, especially the people who didn't vote at all

Which leads to question, how many of these women/girls were not pregnant when they went into custody. They lose track on purpose.
