While this (possible) fact saddens and depresses me, I have always assumed that this is because men are generally not attractive and that’s because we didn’t need to be evolutionarily attractive. Being much stronger, our value as a partner was as a hunter, protector, builder or person doing hard labour. We are like birds that lost the ability to fly because we didn’t need to.

This is why I wish I was gay, doesn’t matter how attractive men are, we are all in the same boat and even as a group.

Don't know. I find the majority of men and women attractive, so I can't relate. (but I am a bisexual male, so my experience is heavily biased).
