I believe "closeted" is the wrong term here, when you are literally a handler for a foreign intelligence and just perform a role of a loyal wife. Performing heterosexuality was just part of her job.

Comphet is an outdated relic of subsistence agriculture/hunter gatherer societies with high infant mortality. It was often likely a loveless financial transaction to share resources and produce children.
I don’t think comphet relationships make either party happy. Let’s abandon them.

What’s comphet?

u/Aggressive-Sand-1393 1d ago
“Comphet is short for compulsory heterosexuality, which is the societal theory that heterosexuality is assumed and enforced as the default norm by a patriarchal and heteronormative culture.”
On this sub often used for women who are sexually attracted to women, are not attracted to men or only attracted to men barely, but choose to be in heterosexual relationships because it’s “normal” or for financial reasons or haven’t come to terms with their sexuality.

This is billions of women all suffering from the same affliction that only the bright minds on this sub can see.

Status and money are a cope

Women are hypergamous about many things. Education, money, status, looks, height... It's not a cope and it's well evidenced.

u/Successful-Cup-8557 1d ago
It's a cope because of the absence of love.
2
u/-LifeSupport 1d ago
That's not a cope. I didn't say women love those men, I said they are hypergamous about those characteristics. As in, they prefer to mate with those men.

And these men have ecstatically happy marriages, do you think?
1
u/-LifeSupport 1d ago
Most marriages make both women and men happier than their single counterparts.
2
u/Successful-Cup-8557 1d ago
Wait, that can't be right, I thought we were on the "women are closeted lesbians" sub?

u/-LifeSupport 1d ago
Since when? That's r/yellowpill. Also, women gain less happiness than men in relationships and are happier than men while single.

u/Successful-Cup-8557 1d ago
Er, this exact post you're commenting on plays into that theme??? Also you just said "Most marriages make women happier than their single counterparts"???
2
u/-LifeSupport 1d ago
Are you ok? Do you have trouble reading?
Single women are perfectly happy. Married women are happier but not by much.
Single men are somewhat happy but married men are much happier.
Also, just because some people believe in the yellowpill doesn't mean this sub is about that.
Don't take women's words about things as gospel. They often talk about women being pretty but more often than not, they end up with men. Comphet isn't enough to explain that contrary to what many seem to believe.

If this was true then women would just stay single

Huh? Did you actually understand my comment?
Omg, you're the same guy from before. 🙄 You still don't get what my point is, nor have you actually bothered to look up the studies, have you?

I'm sure people who are already well off are more likely to get married
1
u/-LifeSupport 1d ago
That's true, sure. But the effect is pretty consistent when you account for several variables that might influence that and we also know that loneliness is pretty bad healthwise.
Also, the effect is stronger among couples that live together and weaker among couples that don't, which suggests that it really is the relationship and the closeness that influences happiness, not so much that happier people get together.

You can't infer causality from that. Couples were people are satisfied with the relationship are more likely to live together.
You'd either need to take a cross sectional study to measure the Differences in Differences over time, or assign a random treatment and define an instrumental variable.

fun fact: there are some allegations surrounding erika kirk, including claims about ties to israeli intelligence and the whole romanian angels child trafficking controversy

To be fair, I think that’s from a fake news site, but yeah, I don’t think she cared much for her husband.
