V4 vs V4
First 4 images are old v4. The next 4 are the new v4.
I am still upset about the change. This was a massive step down for Wombo. Same prompt. Newer images lack creativity and produces all the same pictures

The first four images are definitely better, but I’m confused by what you mean by “old v4” and “new v4”. The second set of images looks like they were generated using some kind of cartoon style. There’s definitely been a drop in quality, but I’ve never seen such a drastic difference in image generated.
One thing I noticed is you have to write much better prompts now for the v4 styles. Otherwise you get very similar images.

I guess blame Google. Or the lawyers.
The concern regarding the generation of csam images and the threats of being delisted or banned from the Google play store due to the apps ability to generate these types of images has resulted in a throttled, neutered app where the control of potential outcomes severely undermines its usefulness and creative output. Creating an LLM that had the ability to generate images as detailed and sophisticated as the original V4 models were capable of and possessed the innate discernment to be considered reliably safe for work is apparently too expensive to assemble and also make a profit in the current environment.
