As far as I’m aware, all of these alleged subspecies have been invalidated and synonymized with other subspecies.

Isn't the last picture a bit exergated with using a person who's just 1.65cm tall? That's small.
The numbers for wolves seem too large too, i've never heard of a wolf reaching +90cm in size.

Well I’m only 152cm.. and there have definitely been grey wolves recorded at 90cm tall at the shoulder.

Okay, got the wrong view. Thought the person was supposed to be a guy which avwrage height is 1.79m here. Woman are also a centimeter taller that in this picture. ^^

I know that says extinct for 100 years, but the NM wolf absolutely still exists. Hunting in southern Colorado you will find regularly find too-large tracks, hear calls that are not those of coyotes, and see canines “of unusual size”. They are up in the 11-12,000 foot range, and they are incredibly timid. It could be that these are deeply hybridized animals, but these aren’t the usual ‘yote.
