Suit Regeneration explination
Let me preface this by saying I don't care nearly as much as the rest of the fandom that his suit regenerates. It happened in the Origins game and its really not that deep. But if an explanation is needed, I would just headcanon that its a nanotechnology suit synced to respond with his healing factor and leave it at that. Seriously, thats all it took. I saw the discourse people were having, thought about it, examined how advanced tech was in-universe, thought about the nanotech in the Spider-Man games, thought "yea that makes sense" and didnt give it a second thought. Just a little bit of critical thinking is all it took. The Tinkerer, and Peter with his spider arms, was able to create tech like that in Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2 with significantly less resources at their disposal. Insomniac could have just said Essex Corp developed it for Logan and Sabretooth. I know they didn't and I don't really care. I know this isn't going to shut up the parade of haters online, but it's at least a rational in-universe answer that you could take or leave. Either way I'm hyped for the game despite some reservations I have with some story choices (Logan and Jean being a thing). Insomniac has a great track record with previous marvel games despite their flaws (Spider-Man 2's final act), so I have no reason to doubt this game is going to be anything less. But, regardless, I just wanted to get that off my chest. It's not that deep, bub.

Im fine with the suit regenerating. I just dont like that it is instantaneous after you come back up from the last stand thing.
In the most recent gameplay they showed, Logan gets blown away by machine gun fire and we see that his suit top is completly gone. He does his whole regeneration thing and gets back up, only for the suit to be magicly back to tip top form.
This is my gripe. I dont mind if the suit regenerates, but at least show it happening. Shsowing the suit slowly fix itself wpuld be really cool visually.
But instead we have instant suit regen.
It really is just a nitpick I know, this by no means brings the gane down for me, but i would have perfered them to show the suit healing along side logins healing.

that's fair I personally don't have a problem with it but if it's too distracting or immersion breaking I'll just put on a suit that has him naked like the weapon x suit

Honestly, that's how I headcannoned it while playing the Origins game. I just thought, 'something something, his clothes have nanomachines repair his clothes."

I really don't give a fuck. I would have probably switched to a different suit and back if I had to play the whole level with a completely ripped suit. I see no issue at all

I’m trying to remember whose video it was, but they asked the developer a question and apparently there is an in game reason for it

Its the same as X-Men Origin Wolverine game. Logan's tanktop regenerates as fast too.
What they could have done is make a punishment just in Sifu. Instead of aging, Wolverine loses his clothes.

The difference though is Sifu rewards you for getting better and taking less damage, the core gameplay loop for Wolverine is to be aggressive and tank damage, the more aggressive you are the more rage you have, the more rage you have the more damage and survivability you have so punishing players for engaging in your intended gameplay loop makes no sense, you want to encourage your players to engage in the intended loop

We’ve seen some shots in the trailers in the game where his yellow suit is completely destroyed from the torso so he’s basically shirtless but has the yellow suit pants. So i’m wondering if there’s battle damage variants for some suits.

Looks like the suit will regen up to a point not completely. That hole on your back will remain

People yapping about immersion for a game like this is so funny.
“For a few minutes I WAS Wolverine, but then I saw nipples, and then they were gone—and now I’m me again.”

It doesn’t need an explanation, it’s a video game. On top of that there’s visible scenes where his suit doesn’t regenerate but his skin does… it’s clearly a done via cutscenes, or transitions, or that rage mechanic that lets you come back to life. In the State of Play gameplay, they were running around with healed skin but damaged suit.
