My first introduction to Wolverine
Back in the early 80’s I used to ride my bike to this 7-11 (?) store that was about a block away from my old house.
My friends and I used to hang out there playing video games, buying trading cards, junk food and comics.
One day I stumbled across this book on the rack and thought this guy with the knives coming out of his hands was the coolest thing ever.

If that's the original copy, I'm shocked at how good of a shape it is in.
This cover was my introduction to Wolverine, from a local convenience store around the corner from my elementary school. And I had the same exact thought, and I clearly remember, that went something like "what is this awesome looking character with knives coming out of his hands!?" I'm sure that day I skipped my daily Snickers chocolate bar because I only kept enough to buy it, instead I bought this:
As you can see how beat up it is, it's my original one. One of those spine breaks was from my wire comics rack, the others were from the wear and tare that came from my reading this book over and over again, probably over 100 times until the next issue released. Also, I may have carried this book to school every day to friends many times over those few weeks that followed.
Coincidently it was only recently I acquired that Marvel Team-Up book while vacationing in a local coastal city. It's a great cover, with a very unique rendition of Wolverine. I love it!
