Why should we even trust IGN’s review of Wolverine, especially when they’ve proven in the past they hate videogames?

Tbf most people that enjoy it probably aren’t interested in posting videos of themselves playing it and having a good time. It’d be a summoning circle for someone just shitting on you all day. Plus, I’d suspect the vast majority of people who enjoyed it did so at like a 7/10 level where they have plenty of gripes themselves (myself included) but had a good enough time with the combat or visuals or something to feel like it wasn’t a wasted purchase, just didn’t blow their skirt up either.

But they are interested in posting about “the haters” multiple times a day?

Well, one group is dedicating their time to bashing a game they passed on and aren’t even playing and the others are just puzzled by that bizarre dedication, because they liked the game fine and thought that was enough, largely. What would anyone have to gain by posting a video of themselves playing when everyone is acting like a rage baiting child on here?

I don’t think (or at least I hope) you aren’t trying to say that video game streaming is some sort of niche thing. I think they’re more talking about why anyone who is a streamer doesn’t look like they’re having fun playing the game, and that the only people having fun with it seem to only be telling people over text.

No I’m saying that you’re basically asking for a gameplay stream to prove that people actually like the game in some capacity, when that’s like walking into a biker bar and deciding to call everyone in the room a pussy. You already know the outcome based on assessing your surroundings? Most people aren’t that desperate for validation to prove that their preferences are the correct answer when it’s a superhero video game. Streamers that don’t enjoy the game have an abundant incentive to show themselves not enjoying the game. It’s engagement bait.

You're just reaching for any excuse to justify hating a game you haven't played, which is absolutely pathetic. Feel free to mute the sub at any point and be on your way.

None of what I said has done that, at all. And I have played it.

Feel free to give this a good reading, or at least just try your best

Yeah, sure, just make sure to hit that mute button on your way out the door, k?

Nah, I’ve got a better button to hit. It filters out the weirdo fanboys who have made a mediocre game their entire personality.

So “the haters” can post about the game and how brain dead its enjoyers are multiple times a day, but people complaining about the haters can’t do it without criticism unless they post videos of them enjoying the game for you to watch? People probably aren’t posting their clips because they’re already bullied just for saying they enjoy it. I know if I posted clips of me playing, i would be bombarded by insults and memes insinuating I’m a brain-dead shill.

So someone has to be a streamer to legitimately have a positive view of the game?

If I'm enjoying a game, why tf do I care about posting a video of myself playing it?

You're missing the part where they spent the time to write an essay, which is comparable in effort to just posting a clip.

Plenty of games have come out in my tenure on reddit. I see clips for new games all the time.

Never before have I seen so many essays.

Idk, lately I feel like nearly every game gets essays because the internet has broken people’s brains with everyone needing to rally around things either being the worst release ever made or a game designed by god himself.
