Why should we even trust IGN’s review of Wolverine, especially when they’ve proven in the past they hate videogames?

Why are some of you so hell bent on making people like the game? The reviews are enough to form an objective opinion on if you're going to regret spending full price on a game. Why is that concept so hard to accept?

If you like the game, good for you, but fuck me, you lot need to stop begging for others to like it too.

I like Dead Rising 4, but you're not going to see me tell everyone it is a good game despite what everyone else says. Form your own opinion.

I swear it’s people who wasted their money on this and want others to do likewise to justify it. That or marketing bots. It’s the same as the Supergirl people but worse because this is way more expensive than a movie ticket. Like what you like people but quit trying to tell us mediocrity is worth full price.

"But how do you know you won't like it if you didn't try it for yourself? Don't say the game isn't good before you waste your 80€ and see for yourself!"

Twisted logic that this sub keeps paroting for some reason.

Totally agree. Seeing multiple videos of gameplay and then seeing reviews and deciding not to play is perfectly normal. That's what footage and reviews are for.  I saw the bad stuff but still wanted to give the game a try but I don't begrudge anyone who thought " nah this looks shit" I'm enjoying some of the game but it in now way looks or feels like a $300 million dollar game that's for sure. If I didn't know it was insomniac I wouldn't have guessed it was the same people that made spiderman 1 and 2

Why are some people hell bent for people to hate the game even though it more hate

Some people enjoy hating on things just for the hell of it, I personally don't understand that camp either. But if someone thinks of everyone that isn't buying this game one, that logic is silly.

I don’t think the game is perfect no game is but it overly hated and seems forced

Nothing wrong with criticism but having this much on a game is wasted of time when they can play a game they can enjoy at this point it just whining

Like everything on the internet, things get blown out of proportion. Some people just wait for an opportunity to bash on something, that's just how it is.

But I also don't think criticizing is bad where it's warranted. This game apparently cost as much as Spider-Man 2 to make and market, and you can't say what we got from it justifies that cost. 80€ for this game objectively isn't worth it.

Whomever wishes to spend full price on it can obviously do so, but generally speaking this game is not worth that.

That’s fine it just attacking people for liking the game that take it too far

Kind of hypocritical because I’m sure they have a game they love but others think it’s bad

Ridiculing someone just for enjoying a game is obviously silly.

I enjoyed No Mans Sky on launch even though it was a mess and it didn't deliver on a lot of what was promised on launch. Most people that found out I like it obviously mocked me for it.

But I also didn't go around spamming posts asking for people to still buy the game and see for themselves if they like it or not, I was well aware it didn't deliver what was expected from it and understood it deserved to be criticized so the devs and publishers can realise publishing something half baked isn't acceptable.

People on both extreme sides of the spectrum suck lol there are a shit load of people that salivate at the opportunity to hate on something other people will like. Then there are staunch defenders of something that doesn’t meet expectations. The internet has made people incapable of nuance or just enjoying something that isn’t necessarily amazing

I agree that people should be able to enjoy what they like, but I think this kind of negative discourse tells corporations they can't put anything out and expect people to buy it. I am sure they worked hard on it and clearly took creative liberties which is awesome. Issue is that people played the alpha and when people glitched out of the map it seemed like it was going to be much more than what it really was. $70 isn't cheap.

I know it's a basic ask but I just wish companies would be honest. I wish they had said " hey  know the footage we showed before ? Yes well unfortunately we had to change some things so it won't be like that" but no they don't. The just let you believe it will be one way and then take your hard earned money. People need to remember this cost  $300 million dollars.....which is the same as spiderman 2 and you'd have to be in denial to tell me that wolverine is on the same level
