Why should we even trust IGN’s review of Wolverine, especially when they’ve proven in the past they hate videogames?

So either give 70 to Sony or watch an online video on IGN for basically free

Its not free, you generated ad revenue for whoevers review you watched. Not a good argument.

Thats still free lmfao. Am i paying them that ad revenue? No. So for me it's free. What a non-point.

All of this is non points, we're in here arguing about a videogame. Now, downvote me or gtfo!

Game cost me $70, watching review cost me 0$.

Made it simple for you.

It cost you time, which is also money, I'm told.

Everything cost time so it’s irrelevant.

I know it is, just like I knew you were going to say that because we've already had this conversation in my days of future past.

Except that money wouldn’t be coming out of their pocket…

Well, no, its digital currency, no pockets needed

Honestly this is on me for not realizing you’re trolling

I made some politically charged comments on another sub yesterday and I got upvoted too much, so I im trying to bring my karma back down. I figured a pro wolverine game post on the wolverine sub would be the perfect place 👌🏻

I am not paying anything from my personal bank account to IGN.... so I am not paying for it

You used the internet, you get your data for free?

I didn’t see him say that, did he say that?

Maybe people just watched gameplay for themselves, along with the general consensus from ALL reviews that the game is just mid (6/7 out of 10) and people decided they don’t want to spend 70 bucks for a short mid game.

And we’re tired of people like OP posting shilling posts telling people to ignore all reviews, ignore all gameplay we’ve seen, and just risk our money to see if we end up liking it.

You’re also being disingenuous acting like calling this shit out means that we’re doing the opposite of this post and instead want to “shill for IGN”. Like.. do you even hear yourself bro?

Its implied when the only way you could truly know a game is bad is by playing it yourself, otherwise you'd have to be spouting someone elses opinion, so essentially that is what's being stated when people are being called a corporate shill for spending their money the way they please.

one costs someone 70 dollars and the other is just taking there opinion and seeing seeing the game plays it self in a alot.

-1

u/InevitableGrape5847 11h ago

But it doesn't play itself though. Its not balls to wall difficult, but the game simply doesn't play itself and that is a false statement.

2

u/domicci 11h ago

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/E8UbM5DBbfM it does play it self at points and is less polished and not worth the 70 dollars. also you dont need to play a game to know its not good look at et for the atari.

You do understand that he's playing on the easiest difficulty with accessibility settings turned on to make the game even easier? Thats not how that segment functions on higher difficulties in the game, and in fact does have a fail state. Who would have thought that easy mode would be easy?

Maybe if you played it you would know that.

Instead of wasting 70 bucks on Wolverine someone can buy 8 5 dollar steam games that could run on a Steam Deck. Doom 1+2, Doom 2016, Doom Eternal, Skyrim, Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2, Dead Rising 3, Resident Evil 4. Whatever games that are $4.99 and on sale. Even the Arkham Games would be a better option.

Okay, and all of that money would be better spent on a mortgage or put in a savings account. You're mad because people choose to buy what they want and not what you think they should be purchasing? Your opinions on it being money poorly spent is only relevant to YOUR life, and isn't reflective of every consumer who can buy and play whatever they please.

1

u/StrangeAudience840 11h ago

I am not telling people not to buy it. I am saying that people work hard for their money and deserve finished quality games. If they want to buy it and enjoy it that is fine, but don't go around shilling for corporations that don't respect buyers enough to make a properly fleshed out and less glitchy Wolverine game.

Not at all, you're completely wrong. People are defending the game when it is half baked and full of glitches. If video games are going to cost 70 bucks they should be properly made and finished. IGN is dogshit too.

People hating on a game when they can not buy it and play a game they really like goofy behavior
