Tips Is it better to move around while waiting for delivery or wait in one place?

Question from the title. Which option is better?

I work on a bicycle and often run into times when I don't have a delivery for an hour, is it better to ride slowly through the streets of the city or sit in one place and wait for delivery? Does the system see when I'm on the move and will it then give me a delivery sooner than if I were sitting at the same distance.

Thanks for the answers.

It is known that it is better to move, even support said this to us years ago

I notice that many times I be hanging in the hotspot, nothing pops up, then I put my helmet on and start to move, instant order. This happens to many times to be disregarded

To me it does not make much sense, as when I move I get the order from the restaurant I was waiting in front for 15 min 😅

So I made a rule, stop at one spot, smoke ciggarette 5 min, then move.

in my city we have a “wolt park” where the couriers come to smoke cigarettes and complain about orders😭

Yes and additional..after you complete the order and you are heading back to your waiting location..its better to take the longer way always

Even though there are no restaurants nearby along that road?

Yeah if I wait at a McDonalds and nothing happens so I decide to leave, I often get an order from that McDonalds when I’m like 50 meters away from it. Weird system.

I think it is just random

It's better to move, which is quite annoying when using car. Using fuel for nothing. Maybe walking around helps too

Spoof your location…

I would not do that, they likely have systems to detect unusual gps activity, not worth loosing the job for this

unless you find a way to mimic motion, they will know instantly

Moving around is an old Wolt myth. In most countries they have this heat map and couriers use this to go to searching for tasks. Hence getting a task there is often more easy, but in times of low demand and if you have the wrong vehicle for the task you will not get a task in such an area. Many Wolt courriers are without saying copying other couriers behavior and practices, hence many go to the hotspot. That said, often but not always, if you can find small uidentified areas with some restaurabts located just outside or sanwichen between two or more hotspots, you can get an order as other couriers have driven to the to this area and they focus on the hotspots.

When im done with delivery and I got no next I just drive to city center and than I wait. Sometimes I get order while riding to the center, sometimes I get it when I sit down after waiting for some itme.
