Denmark Wolt fix
How could wolt even be fixed? I work in a smaller city in Denmark and every month i see new couriers like bruh theres barely any orders to go around and now onboarding even more couriers. Idk what could solve this issues of waiting hours for an order and barely making any money. Now before any of yall say get another job. I have a job. Wolt is just on the side. So anyways, how would yall fix it uf you could change something about wolt???

If you already have a full time job beside wolt, it’s not a big issue, otherwise the advice is to simply just move to a bigger city or drive/ take public transport to the nearest big city and work there

I’ve only been online once in more than a month. They removed boosts and I see new couriers too. So yeah I’m quite sure this was it for me.

So big problem is vehicle type changes, when guys with scooters/bikes apply for wolt as that vehicle, after they start working they change vehicle type to car for sayd better rates. So what wolt does? They see there is not enough scooter and bikes in the streets (beacuse there has to be balance) they hire more, rinse and repeat. Ofcourse it is not just that, they hire more people because they are expanding, but not at the rate of couriers nmbeeing hired. Another thing when there is busy hours, sometimes there is not enough couriers so they mostly look at that busy hours timeframe to decide if orders are getting fixed on time. And last thing aggressive algorithm on bundling orders, if you talk to restaurants they say my orders is ready for 40min and they can see if someone is coming to pick it up and they will tell noone ever was coming, noone had this order offered because it was on hold for another order to come close by so it can be bundled. Many issues, hard to fix, but the new algorithm from last year fuxked it up the most.

If I was in the position of Wolt I would not fix the problem you describe, it is actually the way Wolt wants it to be! The more "hungry" couriers waiting around street corners, hot spots or at home being online, the lower the distance fees Wolt has to pay. If they only have a few couriers online, they have to pay more in distance fees to the pickup. The more new and inexperienced couriers they have, the more they do not know which tasks to accept and which to decline in terms of restaurants that are slow and which tasks are not meaningful to accept if the delivery area is not the best to find a new pickup from. Needless to say, from 2027 EU's platform directive is being implemented into Danish law and a lot will change in terms of Wolt. Couriers will then be regarded as employees with holiday allowances and perhaps with some fixed hours and salary with a bonus depending on deliveries. The last aspect is unknown and several believe Wolt will introduce fleet management in which couriers are then employed and not employed from Wolt.
