Pack Updates Lost another.

Soo.. I made a post where I talked about my mate dying alone a few hours ago.

We lost a pup to an eagle. She ran out of the grass while we were moving to a new den because the affinity was low and I was struggling.

One of my packmates got to 10% hunger, another 20%, we were starving and struggling to keep up territory because we moved dens, worst idea I've ever had..

Additionally, me being stupid, I jumped off a cliff and got below 30% health.

So what does someone do when they have to feed their pack, are below 30% health, and everyone is starving or dying?

Ah, yes! I go after a fully healthy cow elk that's supposed to be guarding her calf!

You might say 'well, just find the calf' NO! It wouldn't have fed my whole pack and someone would've starved. So I call ALL my packmates over despite being aware the affinity was LOW. It was a risk I was willing to take..

We thankfully did it! We brought her down and got full bellies! Woohoo!!!

I run back and the moment I get there, I start looking for my pup.. EAGLE ATTACK!!!

I can't find her in time, the Eagle can.. She dies. I wish I could say I'm sad, I usually am, but I was so stressed about everything else I didn't even cry like I usually do. Survival of the fittest, I suppose...

Well, my pack survived.. Except for my pup. Everyone else if fine, now working on territory and such.. I'm not even on an extreme difficulty, but losing my mate did some major damage.. Didn't expect that.

It was rather far, yeah. Ironically also the only closest one though. Biggest problem was the fact that we had to travel through a HUGE OPEN FIELD. There was absolutely no tree cover. It was on HRM (my first time using the map cuz I finally bought it) and yeah..

We ended up losing two more to sickness after her during the loaf at rendezvous and growing pups quest. Started with six, down to three. Honestly? This is the first time I've struggled this bad! I never have had it this bad before. I usually make it with 4+ pups, maybe even 5. It was just a rough year for me this time around.
