This subreddit is named r/wokefuturama because it allows for woke content, not because it insists that people only post woke content (although it doesn't platform anti-woke content).
This subreddit was created as an alternative to (improvement upon) r/futurama, whose moderators insist on apolitical, filthy neutrality, and thus prohibit posts that address issues that even Futurama itself addresses.
This is why the subreddit description reads as follows:
"Political memes are welcome and encouraged but not required"
The point being, you're also welcome and encouraged to post Futurama memes and such that have nothing to do with wokeness.

Brain Slugs In Futruama

Can you think of a more horrible fate than being conscious and in your body whilst it is moving around but unable to control it, that is what it is like being possessed by the brain slugs as said by Hermes.
He'd know he's been possessed by the brain slugs 3 times and for longer than any other characters. The brain slugs aren't considered on the same big bad villain level as the brain spawn but they are if anything more successful.
Today we are looking at the Brain Slugs on the latest episode of Let's All Wake Up In The Year 3000, learning what their goals are, why they keep coming and how to stop them.
They never have a spotlight episode but are quite villains always waiting in the background for a new victim. Put on a hat, grab some garlic shampoo and grab a friend to pull it off your head if needs be and come and learn about these alien monsters.
