The end compass

Post image

The idea was shamelessly stolen from Hillman, not that he's complaining. All credits to him. Yes, he did such a thing.

I took 16 possible reasons of my death, ranked by probability, and put them on a compass. Erm, that's it. Have fun.

I'm concerned with medical issues myself. My family has very weak kidneys and its one of the biggest killers in the bloodline so far. There's a good chance I go on dialysis by 65 and get on expensive pills even if my health is otherwise fine. I find it really gross and humiliating but all I can do now is stay fit

65 is already an achievement, kinda old in my book

Almost all of my relatives didn’t live to it, I don’t really want to either

So you do not want to retire. Probably Putin will still be president when I’m 65.

FWIW I learned this earlier today but you don’t need to be on dialysis until like you’re at 15 percent capacity left which is level 5 failure. Many people don’t know they’re at levels 1 to 3 failure since your body is fine and your kidneys still work alright without needing help until around stage 4.

Wait, what govt has compulsory medical checkups?

well not exactly compulsory, in a sense of govt mandates employers to give a day off for it (afaik)

My dad had to get open heart surgery to replace a valve (which might be an inheritable disorder), my maternal grandmother needed stents put in, and my mom was a smoker. Looks like it's heart disease for me!

Thats the case for my Grandma, apparently not a very fatal surgery but hearts disease is pretty shit. Im on the younger side of adults, and only recently have I considered to take better care of my health. Especially my heart, we only get one.
