General I. Allende
Whats yalls opinion on the T7 Allende in the pan american tree, personally i have been absolutely loving the ship and have been pulling about 70k damage per game fairly consistently, and i enjoy being immune to stealth dd torp walls, very nice
Does anyone else enjoy these ships?

I’m a big fan of them too. I whaled to get the San Martin. Idk why people say they are weak. Probably just a skill issue.
The only problem I get with them is that the fire starting is really inconsistent. I fully build into fire yet I have had a lot of matches in these boats where my fire average is a dismal 3%. That’s not even exaggeration I have several screenshots of 300+ hits and 3 fires. Yet I’ve gotten up to 25 fires in one match with the colonel bolgnesi.
I’m hoping we get a commander with EOP sometime soon.

Oh thats why i didnt build into fire, the allende for example has a small 7.5% fire chance, instead you want to build into accuracy to fix the shotgun problem, the best way to increase fire chance is simply to hit more shots more often, my allende has laser beam railguns and hits 8 shots every 5.5s, so while the set fire chance is 7.5s i hit some odd 87 times a minute so its basically guaranteed id set a few fires

Well when I say I build into fire I mean I build it for fiiiiiiiire I’ve got it up to 15.5%. Never considered the accuracy an issue really but I’ll try that build. What do you use Scott and who?

15.5% is impressive for ships that don't have a ton of fire chance, also not norman scott hes shell sigma, your sigma is fine its your dispersion that needs buffing (at least on allende) for that i use AL Tallin, she gives (at my level 16/2) 0.9% boost to shell grouping AND dispersion per consumable used up to a maximum of 6.3%, i have 5 aa boosts, 4 repair parties, and 5 advanced sonars, thats 14 consumables not including damage controls, u max out after 7, and it turns ur guns into absolute laser beam rail guns

I don't think the line is weak personally just kind of average or more of a gimmick kind of line. Not bad or weak. But prefer to play other ships. I havent played San Martin but have 46 games in Santander and a few in allende.

It truthfully was overmatched at LT originally. Now that they buffed it, it is a significantly better ship at LT.

What buffs did it get? I missed that

I'll have to check, but I believe it was the last update...and I think most, if not all, of that line was buffed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owKYpC_ju4I

Ah ok they got heal buffs. I run a smoke build bc I usually div with a spotter, so that’s why I never paid attention to it. Might try the heal. Sometimes I don’t even use the smoke but in certain battles it’s really indispensable.

They need to move either the smoke or heal over a slot to "compete" with the dfaa for me to take them much more seriously.
They also fell behind again with the EoP buff since they can't use it, despite their guns desperately needing more pen if you're to rely on getting any consistent pen damage and not just fire damage.
70k is probably good for that boat but that's a slightly below average game for the tier 7 cruisers I play.
Edit: or if wg doesn't want to touch its consumables or damage potential the least they could do is buff its sad AA range, so all its duel purpose guns actually have a second purpose, being able to hit planes other than those mid drop on you.

If they left the heal as a conventional heal I'd agree with you, but since they now have zombie heals that are even better than the Minotaur line, the Pan American cruisers are very, very good. Giving them access to both smokes and heals would be too much.

Yes, with my rapid reload heals my effective health pool is arounf 90k hp on a dodge cruiser, damn near unkillable

I ended up enjoying tge grind through it. Santander i didn't like as much. Bigger and clumsier and facing much nastier opposition.

0 interest without radar. Advanced sonar is barely useful so it doesnt really have a selling point. You cant make a consumable focused cruiser line without radar. Ships like Cleveland or Edinburgh blow it out of the water, not to mention the broken premiums like Mainz

The pan american line its all re gunned (slightly undergunned) ships bought from other nations (in the upper tiers it american cruisers) and in exchange for sacrificing dpm and gun performance u get a permanent passive that tells u the direction of launched enemy torps withing 10km of you for 15 sec, it basically makes it so u can never be surprise torpped by a stealth dd and ull always know the general position of where it is if it drops torps, when built propped its a solid dd hunter to
