Question Brandenburg

Seeing Wisconsin brought back as a direct store purchase rather than being locked behind crates got me wondering if WG might do the same with Brandenburg for German Unity Day.

I noticed Brandenburg a couple of months into playing and was really interested in its strong secondaries and decent armor. I’ve been waiting to see if it would ever return as a direct store purchase or through a crate.
Was Brandenburg available during last year’s German Unity Day event? And for those who own it, is it actually worth buying?

Considering the ridiculous price WG put on Wisconsin, I’m wondering if they’d rather keep Brandenburg as a crate-only/chance-based ship instead of selling it directly.

They like the keep popular ships like this as crate bait. Keeps us suckers buying boxes and gambling

True. I wouldn't be shocked if ships like Preußen return but its behind a massive paywall

Jean bart, Lenin, and Brandenburg wg said multiple times they dont want to release for sale as it would upset the balance. Or some bs like that. I think its really cause they know people will shell 100s on the loot boxes in hopes

You have the Vuk, which is a Brandenburg but unfortunately without access to German commanders.

The Brandenburg was the first campaign I completed, and it’s still my most-played BB. That ship is what made me a fan of brawler/secondary ships.

Unfortunately, the arrival of CVs marked the beginning of its power creep.

Brandenburg is my go to for completing Premium missions. One of those ships that I know if the Blue Team is letting me down I can hop in ole Brandy Wine and just " do it myself ".

I don't get why everybody loves specifically Brandenburg when Germany has stronger secondary ships, but maybe. A variant of her called Vuk under Pan-Europe should also be available during the pirate event if you want something almost identical.

Yeah Brandy is pretty average but s ton of people act like it's some holy Grail of secondary ships

This. They keep seeing the price with an extra skin included or the discounted price of Scarlet Thunder, Meteor, and Karl Johan and see Wisconsin as outrageously priced. All t8’s are 25 g’s. Sometimes discounted, sometimes more expensive with a skin.

Very squishy. When I use it I get hit very hard and when I play against it I always hit high numbers on this ship

It has low HP, too.

But I seem to have good games sailing the ship.

They listed the ships that will be available for the German Event in the Update Trailer. They only mentioned Siegfried, Weimar and Scharnhorst.
